The title is self explanatory, I know MS wants to limit the career planes to the store only, to “ensure a balanced gameplay” but one way that this could be achieved would be to have some sort of free download pack available at the marketplace including ONLY the files for it to be available at career
for example, if you bought the Fenix A32x family, the iniBuilds A300 or maybe the Leonardo Maddog, those are outside the MS Marketplace, therefore unusable at career. one way to have these working and still enforcing the marketplace career could be to allow such developers to add a free download from the marketplace with just the files needed for career, nothing else, with the assets and everything else outside being referenced by the career files.
not only would this allow excellent planes from outside of the marketplace, but would allow freewares as well (like the Headwinds A339, FBW A380 and others) once these come out, and wouldn’t be a network strain, since these files would be local, rather than streamed

Having bought most addons outside of the Marketplace due to serious problems with the Marketplace over the past 4 years, I second this. I also agree that if the MSFS team manages the career patch for third party addons through the marketplace, even if the addon was purchased outside of the MP, they can ensure it’s not somehow gaming the system. I definitely don’t intend to re-buy all of the aircraft I want just to use them in career mode. Plus, unless they plan to make career mode multiplayer, I don’t see why they’re so worried about keeping it balanced.

The reason it’s not allowed is because it would allow users to create F-22s with 150ton cargo, 20000 miles range, travelling at mach3 to effectively “cheat” career mode - which would set them up to effectively bypass career achievements outright with gimped planes.
If acerrer gets Multiplayer support later - this wouldnt be acceptable.
The reason Marketplace only - is because planes which DO target career mode MUST follow the guidelines, make sense, and be of acceptable quality to be used in Career.
