ICAO codes are 4 characters. If you see any codes longer than 4 characters these are not ICAO codes, but pseudo-ICAO codes. By all means request a separate identifier in MSFS to be used for pseudo-ICAO codes, but don’t alter the ICAO code field length of 4 characters, which is a standard identifier recognised by the International Civil Aviation Organization.
