I copied over the new settings from the G1000 version to the classic and flew the classic because I was naively optimistic that it would be an improvement. It wasn’t.
I have a Spad.next script that adds rudder trim as a function of throttle and angle of attack in order to try and improve the prop effects on yaw from what’s natively in the game. Oddly, the new ground handling overpowers that.
I usually check the crosswind settings that I have set by listening to the ATIS. That should be surface winds. Is it not? It wouldn’t surprise me if its something else…
The developers consistently get lots of little things wrong in this game and then ignore calls to fix them. I usually hold my nose and ignore those, but sometimes it gets tedious. This new ground model is an example.
