Whilst not a dev in my own right, I’ve improved the FMs of a number of aircraft in the SIM for Devs and ground handling in particular.
So I’m looking forward to testing the new variables in a systematic way (but not for a few weeks yet as I’m recovering from knee surgery).
The excessive weathervane effect has always been the worst aspect of MSFS by some margin imo as it breaks a fundamental part of the flight experience at the two most critical points - take off and landing. It has always boggled me that Asobo could not seem to grasp how bad the problem was.
But let’s see what can be done. I know Raul has fully implemented the new values in the updated FSR500 he released a few days ago, but as I understand it the new values could have unexpected effects and some complex interactions.
And thanks for the tip on wind. I’ll be checking what the VAR shows as I usually only check on LNM and the flow widget
