For a long time I wanted to get back to flight sims , last time was when FSX just came out. I want to use FS 2020 and build a home cockpit . I was stopped because my computer was not powerfull enough to run the game so I spent the week rebuilding so now I have
CPU Rizen 7700
GPU 4060 Ti
32 Gb DDR5 ram
2 SSDs one is 500Gb and one is 2Tb
1 6Tb Hdd
So yes my PC is now plenty powerfull enough and so I bought 40th aniversay standard version and installed it over night . ( 15.7 hours)
It said based on your hardware we recommend High settings , which I accepted .
It runs lovely , whilst at about 1000’ above EGBB I am getting a constant 59.9 FPS so seeing this I would like to see how it fares on Ultra settings , and here comes the question ( dont roast me I am brand new to this sim ) How do I get back to the screen that lets me choose LOW , HIGH , ULTRA settings . I looked every where and cant seem to find it. Please can some one help and tell me where it is , or do I only get that one chance to choose which level at initial set up time

Along the top of the main screen you have 3 tabs. Middle one is Profile, right most is Options.
Go there, then General Options on the panels that appear. In there it has categories down the left side but the initial view is Graphics Options and in there you have all the controls for each setting. You can pick Ultra on a few things to make a “custom setting”, or use the pre-defined Ultra near the top (then change a few things down maybe).
You will be fiddling for hours now

Thank you so much for your help . I followed what you said and it worked great. I know I might look a bit daft asking such an easy question , but it is my first day on the sim and at 75 Yrs old things dont sink in as fast as they did when I was younger .
Anyway on high I was getting 59.9 FPS , I changed to Ultra and flying at about 1000 feet over Warwick castle in the UK I still get the same 59-60 FPS , Task manager says I am using 25% CPU and 12 % GPU so I think I will keep it on Ultra . Just so you know I live in Redditch England about 10 Miles south of Birmingham
Again thanks for your help , I am sure I will need it again in the close future , Right now I am updating all the stuff in Content Manager , then I have to add on all my extras like Combi Flight and FSUIPC . Speak to you again soon and again thanks for the help

There is a lot of stuff you can add and tweak and some will surely impact performance from what you have now if you go down that road, but there are a few key things to change to get the most out of everything once you start stacking more mods and other software on top.
