I have MSFS on my E Drive and I have had to reinstall Windows 10 on my C Drive my question how do I get MSFS to play do I have to reinstall it from the ten DVDs I have it on? I do not have a EXE short cut to activate MSFS. Hope I have explained it ok.
You need to re-download the actual sim app from the MS Store.
Sorry I have logged onto my MS account and I cannot find how to download the actual sim app, why do they make it so difficult to reinstall.
Like I said it is still on my E Drive but no exe, I have the ten dvd version.

EDIT well I have found a download and it is 1.51 GB then the install manager came up and I clicked install (it is doing it now) 108.66 GB , BUT were is it installing to I hope itis not on my C drive as there is not much room I wanted it on my E drive , E drive already has it installed who made this installer wants a HO better not swear.
Well I got the download and installed BUT Microsoft installed it on the wrong drive, can I cut and paste it to the right drive ? .
This has to be the worst sim for installing and I have over the years had a lot.

This is a microsoft store app, they all install the same. You can choose the location of the big folders though during installation. The app however will be in appdata.
to add to this the big folder data can be copy pasted to another location, so you don’t need to download all the big files. Also works from store to steam.
If you’ve re-installed windows I believe you will need to reinstall your programs on your e: drive as Windows won’t have registered those programs.
If you have the DVD version I believe you’re going to need to delete the old copy off the e: drive and reinstall again from the disks, I’m not sure you will have access to the store version???

Thank you guys for the help, I did uninstalled MSFS and am at the moment downloading it to my empty 250gb SSD F Drive.
If MSFS was not so good I wouild not have bothered but I do like the sim and whats the alternative don’t say Xplane I had a look at it and boy you need to spend a lot of money before it looks any good and my pension do’s not go that far. MS give me so many great airports for free, ho I could go on for ever and preach to the converted. Thanks guys for your time.
