Please insert game disk

I have a digital download and ownership installed, it run for about six times with just the normal problems other users have experienced, but now it’s asking me to insert the games disk which of course you don’t get. Any down to earth advise would be gratefully appreciated.

Hello and welcome! This support article may be of help with some possible solutions:

Many thanks Thomas will try some of those measures.

i have the same issue, and I am connected via Ethernet - 200 mbps

I had this issue and turning off windows defender resolved it. We have a dedicated OC3 connection here in our office so performance on the net was never the issue.

Hello,

Someone puts a solution for this in answers microsoft:

Gie Noëth reply on page 14:

Download the ISO (3,5 mb), load it with Daemon. Before this i tried everything and no one works.

This works for me and i am downloading it!. Hope it works for you.

Please thank Gie Noëth

Im using Bitdefender as my antivirus and for some time it was working fine then suddenly it was asking me to insert the game disc. I bought MSFS from the Microsoft Store and is digitally signed. So this does not make sense, so I searched for a solution online.

Apparently Bitdefender is blocking my MSFS from firewall even though I added the FlightSimulator.exe in the exception list. So I have no choice but to disable Firewall when playing. I sent a feedback to Bitdefender to help me with my case, so hopefully I get a response from them.

Thanks for posting this! I just had the same problem…

I just relocated to a new apartment where Windows has decided I have no internet, even though I’m using the internet… It’s a recent 2004 bug.

Perhaps this is the future we look forward to, where nothing is delivered correctly or nothing just works anymore…

My friend IMIKY48 solved the problem in this way. So, you have to:

-Install the XBOX app and XBOX Identity Provider.

-Look for “SERVICES” in the Windows search box.

-Open as administrator

  • Enabled “AUTOMATIC” choice for: all !!! the items that refer to XBOX.

-Reboot the PC.

-Launch MSFS2020 from the XBOX app (this last procedure was only necessary the first time, then the program starts directly from the MSFS2020 executable).
