Greece blurs its airports on Google Maps, so that might be an indication that procuring the necessary data for the country might involve more than is typical in order to push a WU. Other than the Baltic states and a few in Eastern Europe, Greece remains the only area of the continent to remain with default scenery (which, luckily, isnāt actually too bad).

Would love to see full-on photogrammetry for Greece. Since they are not pushing out updates for more Asian and Middle Eastern countries, might as well be Greece.

Really? I can see Athens International Airport on Google Maps without any blurring. Or does it apply to military airfields only?

I think Poland is still default, but yes, most of Europe has been updated and it is a shame that Greece hasnāt.
As you say, default for many islands is already pretty good, but for others and the Macedonian end of the mainland itās not great so it would definitely be high on my wishlist.
Havenāt checked for blurring, but I remember some Arma 3 devs being jailed for a couple of years for scanning one island for the game, so the authorities might be super sensitive about detailed models of their country being in the public domain.
First time I flew to Santorini the baggage reclaim was a shed. The baggage trucks off-loaded the bags onto the ground and you just picked the one that was yours. Somehow that was a lot lot quicker than waiting for one of the suitcase merry-go-rounds!

We are in summer 2024 and Greece has not yet had an improvement. In earlier versions of Microsoft Flight Simulator (fs2004.. Fsx) Greece has received more attention. Please make Greece great again

As Jorg mentioned in the latest dev update. Greece will eventually be there but donāt hold your breath since they still have issues with the Greek authorities. While the EU demands countries to supply such data for commercial purposes Greece still refuses (or maybe some officials demand āfakelakiā).

This was too funny when I first read it but so true ! To fakelaki works wonders in Greece and will likely be needed if we are to see a Greece World Update anytime soon.

As a Greek person this was the last place I expected to hear about the āfakelakiā, but I do wonder if that is the case haha.

Unfortunately āfakelakiā is the standard procedure ,iam Greek too so,anyway Greece worth an update 
yes, only in Greece do they make what you say about sachets? elsewhere it gets worse, inform Greece on the sim card

Can we expect in near future a world update that will include Greece? If we look at the world map in the simulator we note hundreds of poiās all over Europe except for Greece when only a single one I think can bee seen. Any simmers in Greece?

I agree. It is really pity. Greece such a beautiful country - islands, cliffs, mountains, beaches. It deserves world update alone or with Turkey and Bulgaria. From whole Greece we have one POI and that is Acropolisā¦
