No. My Thrustmaster Airbus flight stick gives a balanced rudder output twisting left or right on a Cessna.
There are complications with jets though, who switch between rudder and nose wheel steering. Sometimes automatically for the yoke with an override switch, others have a mini steering wheel.
Maybe your flight stick is not controlling the nosewheel on the ground? Have a look at the outside camera.
