I love VR, but it’s just too much hassle at the moment with MSFS 2020. However, I’d almost forgive that, because it just looks so gorgeous in 2D, IF they could sort out the full screen view without the cockpit. You know, the one for which there’s an option in the settings, which does nothing. I mean, come on. I could also almost forgive the functionality not being there if the option for it didn’t exist.
But man, they don’t make it easy for us. Nothing sniffs of “not tested” much more than leaving in options that do absolutely nothing. Unless of course it does do something and I’m completely misunderstanding what it’s supposed to do? (I’m referring to the Home Cockpit view).
A full screen external view from the cockpit with the cockpit itself hidden and the gauges on another display (e.g. with something like Air Manager) would be just about perfect for me (e.g. what we got when pressing W in FSX all those years ago). It’s been a year and still waiting, but I’m still hoping.
P.S. This is partly why the 103 is such a joy - it’s so minimal, it’s virtually what I’m after and is near perfect for sight-seeing, but not all that practical for longer flights
