PMDG 737-800 clock

Just wondering is the normal for the PMDG clock to close time on series x ?

Currently doing a flight took off at 12:07pm it’s now 13:24 so been flying almost 1:20 minutes yet the PMDG clock is showing 13:01 and only 55 minutes flying time

Thanks

Would you be so kind as to send this as a ticket to support.pmdg.com so we can look at it? Please describe the issue as clearly as possible with screenshots where needed.

I’ll do this now

I have found that time slippage can be greatly reduced by turning off the UFT/EFB once one is done with the preflight on the ground.

Nikita, is that one Xbox or PC version?

I got both running now to test this.

Xbox Series X over the course of many months.

Okay, I did not find that in our database. I have now inserted it, and we’ll see if that can be sorted out. It seems to be an Xbox-specific item. Thanks for the notification.

It’s not related to this is it? There’s an open bug for this across multiple aircraft The clock in the cockpit of some planes runs slower than in the real time on my XBOX

Sounds like the same issue indeed. Thanks for the tip!

There are multiple reports here in the forum about various time discrepancies mostly on XBox.
Also defects were opened and MS like closed again. The problem stays and might have to something with the SW on XBox not having access to a HW clock. Just my swag.

I normally then the tablet off during flight but it still seems to drop quite far behind. I’ll try again later see if there’s anything else I can try

Clock seems to be working properly now

Maybe not the time keeps up when playing with friends but the sim rate still falls behind

Every time there is a slight stutter on the xbox, the clock on the sim falls behind by the length of time that the stutter took out of it. Think of it like hitting toggle pause very rapidly every so often. It varies wildly between aircraft and areas and even time of day depending on the detail that is trying to load and how busy the servers are that you are streaming scenery from. I’ve seen it being anything from the loss of 1 minute every couple of hours in the PMDG 737 (or up to 10 minutes per hour if you have the EFB moving map open) to losing 15 minutes for every hour in the 747-8i. At the extremes you can easily see it happening as it slideshows down the runway

So this is every aircraft it happens on? Quite annoying really when you payed 100+ for a game that still isn’t working axatly how it should.

Think I’ll be moving to pc for 2024

Yeah. I’m on Game Pass on Xbox Series X so I’ll be on FS2024 day one with a big list of things to look at to see if they have improved

I’ve been doing some more investigating using the pmdg aircraft and what I’ve noticed flying with a friend. If I sit inside cockpit and use the map you can watch his plane literally walk away from yours

But viewing the aircraft outside they seem to match speed so the issue with sim rate lies inside the cockpit somewhere.

Yeah it’s the demand that the various glass cockpit instruments put on the system. They take up quite a lot of RAM and processing power to keep refreshing them but when you are outside of the aircraft they are not being updated
