PMDG 737 and the stock B737 max issues

I have just wasted two evenings trying to fly airliners-on Xbox series X I tried the PMDG737 and the stock B737 max.
First of all the PMDG737 just caused an absolute lock up of my Xbox and I had to back out and restart my sim. On Microsoft flight simulator 2020 I can fly out of third party airports and handcrafted airports using the PMDG737 with no problem whatsoever but trying to fly the same aircraft at the moment with the Sim in this state is an absolute waste of time. At least I managed to get B737 Max flying but the TLOD was that bad I may as well forget airliners for a while.:-1:

Per PMDG, the 737 is not yet backward compatible with 24. In fact, none of their products are 24 compatible yet, per PMDG.

As mentioned, these issue are currently with PMDG as we wait on MSFS2024 compatible versions of their products.

This is well documented on their forums (as well as here if you search).

Thanks I didn’t know about the situation with the PMDG B737 as it was in my 2024 hanger. :+1:

I have noticed that there are add-ons appearing that may not be backward compatible yet. Suggest checking around before enabling any that you are not sure of, and enabling only one, or very few, at a time. Cheers!

Title updated for clarity and to reflect which aircraft are concerned in this report.

If you mean that the aircraft appeared in FS24 without you inserting them, that is a decision made by Microsoft. We were not consulted, nor did we agree. These products are simply not FS24 compatible at this moment. When we release them for FS24 they will have to include some of the new features of the simulator.
