The -700 is a rocket by comparison to the -800 because of its lower weight and massive wingspan. The -700 wingspan is longer than its own fuselage. I’ve always felt the -800 to be underpowered at climb, and even worse on the -900. This is simply because Boeing stetched the fuselage length with only a modest bump up in engine thrust.

Agree completely. But the actual feel of rotation / flairing / handling should be almost identical per Boeing standards for type rating commonality.

The new PMDG pricing model also bring PMDG quality to a 35$ price tag. That’s unmatched on other sims.
Are you doint it via FSDT Live Update or FSDT installer?
My FSDT Live is “performing step 1 or 37” and the app just closes?
Live Update rather than installer for me. For some reason the ‘1 of 37’ message means all of the products they sell (sceneries etc), with GSX being the first one. Closing without saying anything is also normal apparently. It’s a sort of passive-aggressive software.

Yeah agreed, did a live update and all aligned so far.
I noticed there’s a click spot at the very bottom of the cabin door within the cockpit. Hovering my mouse
there shows both the curved arrows and a hand. Seems to do nothing. Any ideas what it’s for?
The tool tips say “cargo fire discharge guard” and “aft cargo fire alarm”. The rotary arrow mouse over says “main det select” “aft det select” and “fwd det select”. Doesn’t seem to do anything.
Thanks. Never thought to use tooltips, good idea. I turned them off when I got the sim and they’ve stayed that way. Perhaps a future feature.

Anyone else having trouble downloading the -800? I purchased it, got directed to the download page then was asked to retrieve a code sent to me via email. But each time, it just returns to the download page. Am I getting busted by PMDG’s server being overwhelmed?
Was the same for me. I had to enable pop ups in the browser for the download to start. (After entering the code)

These used to be hidden just behind the door, but after a while they were moved underneath the floor.

Oh cool, so are they inop or do they do anything? Is there a hatch or just the drone cam to go look for it?
Disable pop-up blockers in your browser.
I just purchased about the same time you did without a problem.

Doesnt do much.
They are modeled as a part of the VC, so easiest way to see them is drone cam inside the VC barely clipping through the door.
