It bobs for me too after latest updates. I dont think there is any additional information about it other than in this thread and on their forum. But one user over there keeps saying it is known by pdmg and will be fixed, so all we can do is wait I guess.

A few times, I’ve noticed an “Air Conditioning” warning on the Master Caution Panel (co-pilots). Not sure what the issue is? Packs are on, being fed by the engines and cabin temps are reasonsable. Any ideas?
Also, last flight, I found myself low on fuel. As I was landing, noticed HYD warnings and on the overhead, both hydraulic overheat lights were illuminated. Any idea what caused those warnings? Are those pumps cooled by fuel?
The new clean cockpit option is coming along nicely.
With new enhanced air worthyness certificate ![]()
I know many people are going to say “but no that cockpit is only beautyful when it looks like a pigsty with dirt and rust everywhere!” - don´t worry an extra dirty cockpit version that hasn´t been mucked out for at least a week will be made too.
This extra clean cockpit version is especially for the BBJ biz jet luxury version.
The air conditioning master warning sometimes come on when descending or climbing too fast.
There is always one hydraulic failure active when loading the 737 for the first time, you must disable this hydraulic failure, make all maintenance, and save the new and fresh overhauled 737 as new panel standard default state ![]()
This solves the hydraulic leak.
Have you checked the fluid status, the pumps overheat when too much hydraulics fluid get lost inflight.
I think that they planned to release the MAX somewhen during the 777 releases. The 737-900 and the MAX -10 won’t come together.
The next interesting question would be, if the MAX -10 will be released at all? At this moment it’s not even clear if Boeing can certify it. So who knows if there will ever be a MAX -10 in service in reality (same for the MAX -7).
I assume they will go for the -8 and -9 first.
I am looking forward to the triple 7. After Captain Sim thoroughly butchered and ruined the experience, it’ll be good to fly one that actually has some care taken in it’s development, and attention to detail paid to.
Might be a dual bleed warning - check that you haven’t turned on engine bleed and APU bleed at the same time.
afaik, fuel is used to cool the hydraulic system, which is one more reason not to be too low on fuel.
So you will get a caution when your fuel is low.
Interesting! Thanks for this interesting technical detail information. In the Airbus the cold fuel is used to cool the generators in the turbines, using the cold fuel to cool the hydraulic system is a great idea too.
Knowing PMDG’s marketing strategy, we’ll get a MAX 7 or a 9 first, than the much more popular 8 a few months or a year down the road. We’ll see.
PMDG is a very social company, they first release the less popular planes so the competition can sell their aircraft in the meantime.
There is no serious 737NG competition for MSFS, so this doesn’t make much sense.
Well I’m one of the few who believe that there was a day when the aircraft was purchased from the manufacturer, and on that day, the aircraft was brand spanking NEW (Oh dear! I dared to mutter the forbidden N** word!), and I love my cockpit to be new as in I just took delivery of it. I can’t understand why we need to be forced to have dirty cockpits as though the people IRL who fly dirty cockpits love them that dirty. Also I keep making the analogy that no IRL airline will ever choose a dirty aircraft if they had to choose between a brand new and a weathered version of the same model, at the same price.
So please make a brand new version of not just the BBJs (which should always be new and clean IMHO) and the passenger versions too. I’ll download them.
Anybody know anything about flickering lights (in the cockpit as well as exterior)?
I think it has to do with representation and time it takes to make various wear states.
A weathered aircraft what we as a community would see IRL, if we would go to an airport to spot planes or embark on one. For example ETS2 (Truck sim) has the opposite thing with zero weathering and at least to me that looks just odd.
After say a week of flying the plane would already have lost that clean look, specially if there had been rain etc. And stuff does get worn/dirty relatively fast.
And i think the devs rather create the visuals of a plane you would see if you peek inside the cockpit as it is more representable of what is IRL. But it is like my car, i don’t mind mine looking used, while my wife likes to clean hers often ![]()
As to why not both, i think it simply is devtime and cost cominginto play there.
Interestingly, this discussion mirrors one that’s pretty common in the scale modeling community.
Ultimately, I believe it comes down to personal preference if you want your model to look pristine like its platonic ideal, or worn down like it would be in real life. There are merits to both of them.
My personal take is that I don’t want my plane to look gross because I don’t like looking at gross stuff. But things like scratches on the glass, maybe some visible wear-and-tear on the paint of commonly used knobs and the plane’s exterior, etc. is fine by me and adds character.
I find the wording that we are “forced” to use a dirty plane somewhat interesting. Creating multiple variants of the cockpit, with and without wear-and-tear, is additional work. If PMDG decided to make their plane look pristine instead of slightly worn down (and it is really slight, in my opinion), wouldn’t that mean they are “forcing” us to have a new, unrealistically clean cockpit?
A software dev making a stylistic choice you disagree with is not a moral failing.
Haha yep scalemodeling does have that same thing indeed ![]()
Ofc it is a matter of taste and only a matter of taste at least for us consumers. And don’t ever think a taste is wrong
I am not sure how much time it takes to make multiple versions of a cockpit/plane. Liveries seemingly goes reasonably fast i think since flightsim.to gets a lot of liveries. As for a whole cockpit i don’t know.
As for the “forcing”, we are always forced and limited by what a dev gives us unless someone else makes a mod for it. And personally i cannot blame a dev for choosing the option that represents perhaps 90+%
My gues is though that unless they give us both versions either the cleancrowd or the dirtycrowd will be dissatisfied.
But tbh it is a minor inconvenience imo. And luckily we have modders that the sim comunity relies so heavy on. I am just happy we even get planes of this quality (and ofc very happy for the modders who mostly work for free)
Some very nice livery packs out there that also provide nicely weathered cockpits. I don’t want my 'pit to look like a pigsty but I do want to see some signs of wear and tear. These airplanes get flown at a very high tempo, to me it just adds a bit more realism.
