You provide zero evidence. Thus, I don’t believe you.
Aerosoft is not that bad and prone to always failing - they already brought a superb and great looking and realistic CRJ ![]()
Unlike Boeing there is zero difference in the -700 or -800 but just some rows of seats. But the CRJ1000 looks really over-the-top stretched and different than the -550.
The CRJ1000 reminds me of a cruise missile - the wings and engines somewhere far behind and some very long pointed hull.
Awesome design I should really fly it more!
As soon as the weather radar is released I am sure the CRJ will finally feel “complete” with weather radar and terrain radar and some more features and it will become my favorite tubeliner airplane.
Zero evidence to suggest the 737 won’t come out this year…
My suspicion is that the weather/terrain radars are two of the main issues PMDG was waiting on MSFS for.
They want a highly realistic product, and probably aren’t content with not having them.
By the look of the recent PMDG post, we should find out soon enough!
If that is so, Aerosoft won’t be far behind.
Ah the weather and terrain radar are the most important features for immersive bad-weather flights. Nothing beats handflying around really intense thunderstorm clouds (by the way are there higher turbulences simulated in the sim physics compared to yellow or green clouds? Or are the turbulences during thunderstorm settings the same everywhere?)
And even better that also a WASM weather radar implementation for the beautyful CRJ is in development! Otherwise this beautyful plane would have been incomplete … forever…
Where have you seen whether radar is in development for the CRJ?
Your posts are stating stuff that u think is speculation
Regards
Aerosoft is not even fixing 10 month old bugs forget weather radar
He didn’t say it was in development. Calm yourself.
Aerosoft are on record saying that the lack of API prevents them from having WX and terrain in the CRJ. The message before yours was an assumption that if Asobo implements the API, Aerosoft will then implement them in the CRJ. A reasonable assumption, yes?
clearly does state its in development
So I will carry on keeping calm, don’t want to take this off topic, but users stating stuff that is false doesn’t help this thread,
Actually, it has been stated.
Here is the quote from the Jan 22 Development Update
- Dev Mode
- Work has started on the weather API for WASM (exposing the same bitmaps that are available in JavaScript).
Here is a copy of an article from Aerosoft.
I really like the CRJ and the fact that the development of this fine plane might now continue with some Asobo SDK updates and new weather interfaces as promised is absolutely wonderful.
But the fact that PMDG is holding back screenshots - never really zooming in and showing these turbines the gear and other nice angles of the 737 - is kinda sad.
I think there are six screenshots of the new 737 for over a year now, two showing the plane from far away and four from the cockpit.
I have to admit, I am disappointed with this news. I am bored of screenshots now and more interested in the finer details, but it looks like its way off release with this “worry list” and not even in beta yet. In other words, could be summer onwards, into the 2nd half of the year before we see it.
At this rate, Xp12 will be out before there is any kind of decent payware airliner in MSFS.
But the good news is the new 737 cockpit will look absolute gorgeous with this techy+comfortable at the same time beige and dark grey two-tone colour style!
Beautyful absolute perfect.
I hope they can add a little wear and tear on the textures, just a tad at least.
Cockpit is not looking good!
What do you mean, not looking good?
I’m getting very anxious for this and even more so for Fenix Sim A320. Both of these products will compliment each other nicely!
This cockpit is beyond perfect. Now I have two reasons to buy the PMDG 737, because it´s the PMDG 737 and because the cockpit is even more beautyful clean and nicely coloured than I imagined.
What a superb 737.
If I buy this when it comes out. It will be fresh from the Boeing Everett factory. In fact, I will depart from there… So no on the wear and tear. Not saying it would not be good idea.
Why? What’s wrong with it? It looks beautiful to me.
This cockpit looks are on another level than any other aircraft ever released for a flight simulator. Can’t wait.
