Wait I gues hahaha they will progressively come to MSFS, in 5-6 years we will have most of them
100% agree, I like my planes big, the feeling of the plane struggling to respond to the controls is what makes if for me, and if there is a storm on arrival even better.
Airbus and Boeing are so different that one must almost start at zero when learning to fly an Airbus. I think it´s just lazyness learning to fly the other brand and not fanboyism
I promised myself when this MSFS came out that I wouldn’t get in to that same rut I was in in FSX with only flying IFR at 39,000…
A brief foray into VFR in this very beautiful game…
AND…
It didn’t take long and I am back into that same rut… with these new birds to be released… I guess I can kiss goodbye to ever flying vfr again
Absolutely, airbus has auto trim, Boeing does not. Even the way throttles work are different, levers move in Boeing and don’t in Airbus; so a lot of differences.
I dont know. DCS Designs have the Concorde covered, that will be amazing in my humble but opinionated opinion. I am pretty sure PMDG will drop this year, Fenix too.
What I really want is a Long Haul airliner of A32nX / Fenix / CJ4 / PMDG quality. I cant take not having one. Sorry but the defaults with mods just cant cut it for me, I have tried, but its just not what I want.
You are exactly my style of game play, love to fly big in bad weather. Although nowadays I mostly fly A32NX due to the level of realism immersion it gives me, and once a while on DCD F14 when I wanna fly fast and agile. The Asobo 747 feels weird in behaviour when flying. Hope the Fenix and PMDG will deliver. But tbh I might pass on the 737 as it’s size and performance is too close to the airbus A320, would drop my money when the 777 comes
Pretty much the same here, flying the NX. I am eagerly waiting for the 777 + 747 and QW787 - fond of the heavies. Will lap up the NX380 as it comes out.
Saw a B747 and B777 doing touch and goes/circuits displaying data capture chutes out the back at PHNL today. Possible B737 in the circuit as well. New release/beta perhaps?
Funny you “saw” that since in the sim, the only way to see a 3rd party plane as the correct model is to have it yourself. The Asobo 747 and Captain Sim 777 both exist but neither one has a data capture chute. So what was it you actually saw?
The terrain display doesn’t need any sim communication at all, it’s simply up to using DEM files which PMDG has always been doing. Weather needs an API, something that tells the plane what it should display. A weather radar per definition hasn’t existed at PMDG yet.
Does that allow “seeing” unreleased aircraft models from developers with features that don’t exist on production aircraft, like air-data parachute probes? Somehow I doubt it.
