PMDG 737 Discussion (PC Version) (Part 1)

I was using that when it was a demo for free. It was great but there was only one variant (-800 I think, not sure though) and there were some subscription levels limited by the number of calculations. No thanks, I can live with my “guess” for now (for the -700 I use the free Toper 737 on my android phone) till I get it free for each variant provided by the EFB.

Hm none of the simulated airplanes have implemented a really useful EFB so far, but the FlyByWire A380 might be the first one that has actual GPS navigation for airports and other interesting until now unseen stuff simulated in the EFB.
In the sim the little moving map in the sidewindow has not been useful in any airplane so far (only the Fenix has an interesting runway landing lenght caluclator)…
But maybe this will change with the Fenix V2 and the FlyByWire A380

edit:
Ah I see for people who use Navigraph the EFB is really useful for showing the Jeppesen and other details. Ok well in this case an EFB is not so bad at all, I did not know that because I have never used Navigraph.

EFB in Fenix A320 is what I need. The only missing feature is synchronisation with Navigraph, so it shows the same pinned charts I have in the desktop app.

PMDG promised an EFB “soon”, they should deliver. You can fly the plane with out a EFB. In my case is more about the settings pages, there is a ton and a pain to go through them, even more so when updates change them. Same with ground handling, push back, doors, stairs, jet ways etc.

EFB’s have pages too (apps). They also would have the same click stuff needed to load and open doors and such the same. Instead of on an FMC screen it’s a tablet screen. Apples to Oranges.

They promised EFB to be available last August. I wouldn’t pay too much attention to what they said.

Hopefully this can take away from all the EFB talk on this thread. It is really becoming unbearable.

Has anyone else experienced this issue since the AAU2 this week?

Thanks and Happy Flying

Yes. Very annoying

You can’t swing a dead cat (sorry @GamingCat2130 ) on this forum without hitting a thread that is related to that phenomenon.

Yes, Asobo introduced a change that messed up some airplanes, including PMDG. They’re aware of this. There’s a thread about it in the PMDG forum with some workarounds (I think it’s related to controllers and some of the new XBOX features of MSFS).

It happens to me when hidden mouse cursor is accidentally on glass cockpit displays while panning with other methods. (head tracking, joystick HAT etc.) Try to put mouse cursor away (to the edge of screen) whenever you’re done using mouse. That helped me.

No. Did several flights in PMDG and have not seen those lines. I think it happens when you have pan views mapped to a POV switch.

I get the white dot and flickering mouse when panning using the RIGHT mouse click. Strange the XBOX white dot is showing up on PC.

It’s not that strange - you’ve been able to use an XBox controller with PC games for a couple decades now, and MSFS has had support built in since the start. It’s simply a cursor control/highlight issue that needs to be tweaked or changed to allow us to disable. Hardly the end of the world or sim-breaking.

Same. Pretty much every flight to an extent. Once in a 2+ hour flight. I’m going to be the black sheep but I almost prefer the connection issue over this. At least that I can manage it by keeping an ear and eye out for if and when it happens, seems to have stopped since AAU2.But this I can’t do anything about.

It is strange when I’ve never seen it before and I’m not using an xbox controller.

Quite surprising that optimum cruise level is more than max

Thank you for the response. First time back in the cockpit tonight and catch up on the forums. This has temporarily fixed my issue by moving the cursor. I use TrackIR and it triggers this when the cursor is on one of the displays. Many Thanks. Hopefully a proper fix coming soon.
