Did you resolve the problem of navdata failing to update ?
Interesting.
My question is, based on what we know from experience, is the Xbox rolling cache used as a kind of main āworld state databaseā? If so, when it grows large, or gets corrupted that could possibly perhaps explain why it might slow down and destabilize flightāstart logic and WASM behavior?
Iām going to keep clearing mine every 1-2 weeks from now on in and see if I get any more reoccurrences of the WASM crashes I had yestrday on the 737-900ā¦.
You would make our support team very happy if you created a ticket with all the information for this. We recently had a WASM issue that we could recreate reliably, and we were able to solve it in a few hours. But those are very very rare.

Ok, happy to do soā¦
Will get round to it tomorrowā¦

Hello Simmers! one thing Iāve been realizing since this beta is the following.
With any plane from PMDG when I load the flightplan from simbriefing, it load correctly withoutu any issue. So when I load with planner from MS and send it to avionics and ATC, the Sim starts to freeze and follow to CTD. So I restart the XBOX, load the game and try to do everything again and donāt use the planner MS just load plan with simbriefing and all goes ok.
last night I updated the 737-700 and did trial from SBRJ to SBSP, a short flight, and in the middle of the flight all my screens gone black and as followed from a CTD.
XBOX X here.
Had a brilliant Bank Holiday weekend - spending quite a bit of spare time on MSFS (luckily it was raining quite a bit in UK).
Had loads of brilliant flights across the Americas - not just in the 737, switching between my favourite aircraft flight to flightā¦ā¦..arenāt we spoiled today with the number and variety of amazing addons!?
I know I sound like a broken record. I spent many happy hours with my dad in the 1980s playing games such as Solo Flight (my job in my younger years was loading mail (i.e. pressing the āFā keys), controlling the flaps and landing gear and reading out the VOR frequencies from the printed(!) manual):
Iāve played flight sims ever since - pretty much all of them, usually on PC. Just finished an amazing flight into SEQM on Xbox. Weather a bit mixed on the way in - but wow, it never ceases to amaze me. How on earth have we got here on a Ā£450 console?
ā¦ā¦ā¦and where on earth will it go!?
Post of the day.
And you are so right. There is a lot of moaning (rightfully so) going on, but the progress made is incredible.
XBOX X - Too many CTD, black avionics, orange avionics, stutters, and all sortie of things that I didnāt hope to see after the SU5. PMDG 737-700.
Hi. Have you tried experimenting with your rolling cache value? Itās obviously difficult to gauge accurately but for me I have found 32GB to work well. Some aircraft seem to prefer being streamed, others installed. I would say itās worth some tinkering if you have some spare time. Also, I have found that after an update itās essential to do a full shutdown and restart of the Xbox (I also never use the āResume gameā feature as I have noticed a clear drop in performance with this).
I have had some disappointing post-SU5 stuttering near the ground at my preferred UK/US airports with many of my favourite add-ons, including the 737-600 and -800. I am avoiding these airports for now and hope performance improvements are incoming. By chance I have found flying around South America (and always between detailed hand-crafted airports) an amazing experience. Had some epic flights this weekend with stunning visuals, changing, beautiful weather/heavy rain, rainbows, lightning etc. Didnāt have a single issue from your list over many hours of flying.
Are your problems specific to the 737?
A good starting point is here.. itās a good guide and an analysis of the possible causes of the memory issues. Some of us have had very good results flying PMDG aircraft on Xbox in SU5 so this is definitely worth trying.
From the last to first, Yes, my problems are related with 737-700, my rolling cache is now with 16gb. will try witha big one, maybe 32 gb. before the wasm update, I had good flights , but yesterday I didnāt any one cause the issues. anyway, will try that again.
Good to see this post, right now Iām working and in the end of the day will try these fixes.
Thanks for all.
Iām using 16 GB RC with no issues at allā¦.
