It is unknown. And I doubt it will be this week with so much going on with FS2024 coming out.
Can I just say that I donāt actually believe PMDG, about the updates to the avionics or the liveries. I just think they havenāt released yet, they are waiting for an optimum time of the new Marketplace being given a green light on the new sim. Sorry lost all faith in PMDG, see them as nothing but false truth merchantsā¦
Iām sceptical too. Other developers say that theyāve released updates to the marketplace and itās there on the next marketplace update. Developers are supposed to be able verify their own products before sending for marketplace release so Iām guessing that PMDG donāt do this and leave it for Microsoft to do
Buddy, what benefit do they have in not telling the truth. Itās very obvious itās the truth cos why would they release the update to direct users and not marketplace. There is no benefit for them for this update to wait, Iām sure they would have been quite happy for it to come mid October.
The reason it is taking so long is because the new update was tested on 24 rather than 20. Therefore the update was supposedly be compatible with both, but the problem is that PMDG didnāt know it was being tested on 24, that is the delay.
PMDG have completed the update and handed it to Microsoft/Asobo the same date they released the updates to their direct customers, which was a month ago. I have the 700 and 900 direct from PMDG and have had another update since then.
The update is out everywhere else but the marketplace. What does it benefit them to hurt their marketplace/XBox customers after theyāve put all this effort into supporting them over the last year?
Tired off pmdg updates and ms that never come i will switch to 737 max anyway so
This is the first update since launchā¦ so how are you tired of them @Whodarewin92464
I get it hasnāt gone to plan with this update, but look at today. Nothing has in the sim space
I managed to get the PMDG 737-800 and 900 on to the new sim. Unfortunately it did not work, or even come close to working. All buttons unresponsive, all blank screens and texture would not load in properly. Have had issues when loading in on 2020, but the state has never been in just a far away than on 2024. The texture quality degradation seems to be more extreme compared to default aircraft. Hopefully this feedback helps.
I just made a thread about the MSFS 2020 items and how they work in 2024. I just tested the 737-800 and it seemed to work fine for me? It took a little bit for everything to load but once the textures came in, I was able to select all the knobs and click on the buttons.
Which buttons specifically were you having issues with?
All of them. Have you been able to load in an airport and fly? @j0nnyd7
Are you Europe based? I think USA servers are better Iāve seen.
Iām USA based. And yes I just flew from KJFK on a quick fly now trip. I havenāt attempted a full startup but I was messing around with buttons and knobs and they all worked.
Only issue Iāve had is that when I start from the gate, it automatically goes into walk around mode and there isnāt a tick to get into the plane like the default MSFS planes have. So I need to figure that out and see if there is a way to get into the plane from a walk around without a click (I assume there is but havenāt researched or checked the new controls fully yet).
Shift C for that @j0nnyd7
Iām on XBox so Iām hoping thereās a controller setting too, but Iāll do that on my keyboard for the time being. Thanks!
Howād you get the PMDG into 2024 on Xbox? I went to My Items in the marketplace and it was empty other than the World Updates
Is it the first time you opened your sim? If so you need to restart it. Every time Iāve loaded it, Iāve had more 2020 add-ons show up in my library. Seems like that rollout process is happening fairly quickly.
Same with me. Just appeared in my library. Will be interesting to see if we get the update for PMDG tomorrow. Would make me go back to 2020 so I can play it for a bit. Wonder if it would update in both 2020 and 2024.
Great question. I think itās for both since the marketplace should be the same across both platforms. But that is also why Iām curious how the 2024 updated version of the 737 and other addons will work out. It looks like the main thing the addon planes need is compatibility with the walk around features and the slight changes to the flight model.
Iām quite happy without the walk around. Taking the engine covers off every flight is excessive and in the real walk around you have no little targets to press A on. If they just have the EFB and a manual walk around thatās even better for me
Just like every other airliner on this game, the PMDG 737s do not work on msfs2024.
Unlike other airliners however, the 737s dont cause a freeze or a CTDā¦ nothing is interactive in the cockpit.
