Just like every other airliner on this game, the PMDG 737s do not work on msfs2024.
Unlike other airliners however, the 737s dont cause a freeze or a CTD… nothing is interactive in the cockpit.
Same as what I had.
I got the “broken neck loadin”. I call it that because the yokes are twisted sideways. The controls and displays don’t work. It happens sometimes in 2020. See the yokes sideways and you instantly know to reload. Of course in 2024 if you reload you have to roll the dice on whether you’ll geta freeze.
Reloading does not fix the issue. For me the yokes are usually INOP when the aircraft is full non functioning and may potentially need to be reinstalled. This seems on Xbox at least to be fully dysfunctional unfortunately for MSFS2024 with it only just being installed.
Any chance of the update today do we think? Might be nice on 2020
It’s hard to say. The turbulent launch of the 2024 must have caused a lot of disruption there. We’ll see.
The marketplace did update @RVictorPilot and no update unfortunately @TheFalconOne. So unfortunate
How have 4 new aircraft launched!
Also the PMDG 737 series is not on the bestsellers, always thought it was over the captain sim Hercules?? What is going on?
…and still no update on the marketplace this week. makes you wonder how 2020 users will be treated now that bug full of 2024 is out.
On the PC it is the same. I’m fool I believed them. It is like a month since it was released from PMDG. Obviously Asobo dont care right now, because of the new sim and the current state of this new sim (trash). They are busy working on MSFS2024 marketplace as well rather than test and allow the pmdg large update. Really unfortunate.
It is just unfortunate. Although I don’t think the 2024 release has much to do with no more updates. Thursday still had the normal releases for 2020
That was a marathon trying to scroll to the end of 1770 comments. Its funny that there have been updates on marketplace fine on 2020 for othe aircraft. Ive updated one today. Still no sign of the PMDG 737 800 update. Can’t use in 2020 because of outdated AIRAC cycle. Can’t use it in 2024 because PMDG aircraft are not yet compatible, just like other aircraft from 2020 are not ready in 2024 even though they can be used. I just want to know what is going on with the marketplace update for the pmdg 737 800
I think the Microsoft Marketplace team are working overtime under enormous pressue just to triage the MSFS 2024 release, and the confusion.
PMDG posted some comments on their forum about the progress:
I will echo Randazzo’s (PMDG CEO) comment on this issue.
Marketplace users have been asking “when is the 737 going to get updated for us?” The answer, as always is: We don’t control the intake process, nor the intake speed. A reasonable person can look at what is happening at MS right now and accurately ascertain that the workload at Microsoft is sky-high with the transition to MSFS2024. I am not going to start ringing bells over there, as the team we work with at Marketplace are good, hard-working people who already get treated roughly by the community for things that aren’t truly their fault. MS will release that update to MSFS2020 users just as soon as they get it through the intake process, whatever that process might be right now. One additional note: Thanksgiving week here in the USA is generally a week-long holiday for most employers. MS does not issue updates during that week, so I suspect the earliest update cycle will be the following thursday 05DEC24.

BTW/FYI isn’t there a Part 2 thread under separate cover? Not that it matters, just asking.

So, for 737 we will be robed.
Their modest price will be probably 40-50€ and probably for every variant. So I have 3 variants, that will be 120-150€ to pay for already overpayed addon.
How do you know the price when they haven’t released it yet?
At least they are warning us that there will be an upgrade “fee” for using the 2024 version if we have the 2020 version. If it’s legit, I’ll have no problem paying the upgrade fee as long as it’s reasonable.
I wrote probably.
