became a McDonnell Douglas fan via the Rotate MD11 for Xplane. Quirky challenging aircraft. Am waiting for the Pmdg to appear in Fs-insim Marketplace because I have both PC and Xbox X, so buy once get twice. Still hanging out for a FS2020 757, but flipping between xplane 11 and Fs2020 is actually quite a rewarding experience love both Sims (polyamourous)
I am with you on the B727 or B707. I love the old school type of flying.
On the frame I now see that the 737 on my system is actually better, not much I hasten to add though. Flew both earlier out of Heathrow and so not much in it for a preference. Two great pieces of software
Oh â â â â no kidding on the brakes? I bought yesterday but have been traveling but now Iâm in even more of a hurry to get home.
Shame itâs not on a 737-7. Just a lame-o scarebus a319
Curious as to which of these two has the best/most realistic Flight model?
I think the MD-80 had an update recently?
Could someone point to a link detailing the update?
Thank you
TG

Hmm I am not sure anymore about these glowing brakes anymore, on the lower EICAS the brake temperature rises to a yellow 10.0 (but the temp never goes red or above that)âŠ
The PMDG manual says that the brakes can glow but I am still not able to do this and make some cool screenshots of this feature.
As soon as Fenix will release their A320 freighter the airplane type that is currently considered a âlame, boring, scarebusâ will immediately be promoted to âthe ultra high fidelity study-level Fenix Airbus, and one of the best DLCs ever developedâ.
Such things usually donât interest me but have you tried to change your brakes from carbon to steel ones in the PMDG settings in FMC?
that would be true were it not for the fact that i already bought the 737 and not only did i forget to set the cabin pressurization properly and killed everyone in the cabin from Hypoxia, i was forced to do my first ever (and i mean first ever) go-around because the stupid Southwest Flight in front of me triggered collision avoidance (or i forgot to disarm AP and AT entirely).
I mean iâve played with Hi-Fi planes in DCS but yknow half those systems are classified or modeled in a way that doesnât require a 2-week class to learn. This isâŠwow
Doubt youâll ever see the MD on there, and itâll be a good while before the 737 is on there too.
There i fixed it
Then because we will probably be more likely to see the PMDG 737 on the marketplace more likelier than the MD in going with the 737 until I give in and pick up the md80
I own and love both of them. They fly very differently and are both worth the money. Bottom line for me is they are two of the best planes for MSFS and they are similar to the quality I expect from similarly priced x-plane products.
