Since the latest SU4 update (1.6.15.0) I have stuttering every 3/4 seconds due to high mainthread spikes on the PMDG 777.
I don’t have this problem with the Fenix A320 nor with the Ifly 737 MAX. Does anyone has the same problem or know a fix? Already tried reinstalling the PMDG including panel states ect. cleaning all caches ect. Please see below a screenshot for the mainthread spike. Already opened a ticket with PMDG Customer support, but they are not supporting SU4 yet. Thanks!
One of my machines runs SU4 beta, and I do not see this behavior, so I suggest something else plays a role. In our support, these stutters are mostly linked to some module that saves data on a regular schedule. As we have a ton of Lvars, this can hit the PMDG777 harder than other aircraft.

Wasn’t there an issue earlier where you had to put the EFB on the Weight&Balance page to avoid a repetetive stutter?
Dunno if that have been fixed, but the 777s performed very well for me in .13 and .15. No stutters as far as I noticed.
Might be a factor on some systems but OP stated it started when he used it on SU4 beta.

I am getting very smooth performance now with the 777 on SU4 beta. I have a reasonably low end system and using VR with G2.
I did a complete reinstallation of MSFS, but I have the same issue. Very weird that I am the only one with this problem….
You aren’t. I have the exact same issue. No AI traffic, no multiplayer. Just those huge main thread spikes every 3-4 seconds. Only two airports installed in the community folder and the 777-F.
And have you contacted our support department? They might be able to solve this with you. Just use the support option in Operation Center 3 to create a ticket.

Hi Mathijs,
I did but I got a reply that you are not supporting SU4 beta yet. Which I understand, but I hope PMDG will work on this issue prior SU4 release.
We are very cautious about spending a lot of time on that because SU3 beta changed three days before release, making VR use very hard. This wasted a ton of work for us AND left a very bad impression on customers.

I haven’t because I‘m on SU4 and it’s a beta after all.
For what it’s worth - I solved the problem by setting both EFB to the W&B page. No stutters whatsoever.

We have looked at this issue many times and still do not know why it happens on some systems (I have a laptop that does it) and not others. Total mystery right now.

It works perfectly on my PC too, in fact it’s one of the best performing and flawless planes in this SU4 after everyone’s initial failure! I can’t wait for their 747 to come out, my favorite plane!!
