Pmdg -800 and atc

  1. MSFS ATC uses waypoint information from flight plans created by the World Map.
  2. PMDG and others cannot import or use any MSFS flight plans. They have their own flight plan format.
  3. MSFS cannot import the flight plan formats created by PMDG.
  4. Flight plans created by 3rd party developers often omit the waypoint information needed by MSFS.
  5. MSFS World Map flight planner might alter imported flight plans changing waypoints and other parts.

Possible solutions, alternatives, or workarounds:

  1. Add the capability to import PMDG flight plans into the MSFS World Map.
  2. Add the capability to import MSFS flight plans into PMDG and other aircraft.
  3. Use an alternative 3rd party ATC if not using the MSFS World Map flight planner.
  4. Have MSFS World Map flight planner add ATC info to flight plans imported into the World Map.
  5. Remove the ATC info in MSFS flight plans into a different file.
  6. Do not use MSFS ATC when flying PMDG and other aircraft that do not use MSFS flight plans. (Like #3 above)
  7. Add the capability for MSFS import flight plans and changes from aircraft FMS. Then send this info to MSFS ATC.
