- MSFS ATC uses waypoint information from flight plans created by the World Map.
- PMDG and others cannot import or use any MSFS flight plans. They have their own flight plan format.
- MSFS cannot import the flight plan formats created by PMDG.
- Flight plans created by 3rd party developers often omit the waypoint information needed by MSFS.
- MSFS World Map flight planner might alter imported flight plans changing waypoints and other parts.
Possible solutions, alternatives, or workarounds:
- Add the capability to import PMDG flight plans into the MSFS World Map.
- Add the capability to import MSFS flight plans into PMDG and other aircraft.
- Use an alternative 3rd party ATC if not using the MSFS World Map flight planner.
- Have MSFS World Map flight planner add ATC info to flight plans imported into the World Map.
- Remove the ATC info in MSFS flight plans into a different file.
- Do not use MSFS ATC when flying PMDG and other aircraft that do not use MSFS flight plans. (Like #3 above)
- Add the capability for MSFS import flight plans and changes from aircraft FMS. Then send this info to MSFS ATC.
