777-300ER on Xbox series X is extremely stable on both sims
The one thing I notice about the 777 on Xbox on FS2020. If you own it and there is another 777 at the same airport fps gets absolutely hammered regardless of what aircraft you are in. It gets worse the closer you get to the point where if you spawn in next to one, it is almost impossible to set up. And you best hope when youāre landing that there isnāt one on the taxiway waiting for you to land so that they can takeoff
I donāt remember having this issue to quite the same extent on SU15 but since SU16 it has become particularly bad. Is this something (LOD issue?) that is known about and a fix being worked on or is it just something weāll need to live with? On FS24, they disappear when you get close enough to the point where they would cause lag on FS2020 and you just see a floating nametag
Thatās indeed part of the new LOD system. Nothing we can do.

Xbox 777 liveries for 2024?
How about some new livery packs? ie ones we havenāt purchased in 2020, so we can have some in 2024
Itās been 7 weeks since āthis wonāt take long" from Randazzo, so something has come up about getting the old packs across for free, noted.
And with the 737 coming up, maybe some new packs for 2024, so we arenāt waiting forever again
TLDR pls make some new liveries packs so we can buy them in 2024
We, again, contacted Microsoft yesterday about this. We are still waiting on feedback from them. If they are not able to allow the customers of the FS2020 livery packs to get the FS2024 ones for free, we will have to start selling them, but that would be a highly unfavorable solution.

Thank you for not letting up. It will be worth the wait, Iām positive about it.
Well, being really practical you already charge Xbox users for the same liveries you give to PC players for free, but I am still glad you are acting so we can get the 2024 versions of the packs we bought! Cheers
We have been asking for the option to be able to offer them for free on the marketplace for years. The platform simply does not allow that.
What I donāt really understand is how other devs (thinking about Just Flight here really) are able to include a significant number of liveries in the original package, yet PMDG only include one. Iād understand it as a space saving measure so that PC users could then use OC3 to pick and choose the liveries they want, but when that option doesnāt exist on Xbox it seems a bit backwards to not include any liveries beyond the PMDG house livery
On the PC marketplace version, you can only use marketplace liveries (or so Iām told) so I donāt think that reasoning really stands
I had this feeling pmdgs livery policy was little muddy, like 737ngs liveries seems composed to make customers buy all 737 versions, (737900 Indian liveries which should be included in 737800. Or 737700 liveries begging for 800 and vice versa). 777 packs are ok though. I donāt mind paying for them, just make them sufficiently representative (737 issue).
I do get it to an extent with the 737 liveries - if the real world operator doesnāt use the 737-600, then why have their livery available for it. But then we got 7 (I think) Ryanair liveries as well as a few liveries for obscure operators who no longer exist but one of the biggest operators of the 737, TUI, got missed
But it could be worse. My mind is still blown that the A350 livery packs include so many duplicates with different tail numbers and 2 of their packs are for just one airline each
No issues with the 777 packs as long as they get onto 2024 sooner rather than later (which I know is being worked on). Iām not even bothered about them being free if thatās the stumbling block. Every livery maker is charging around $2 for 2024 upgrades to their packs and we got the 777 2024 upgrade for free so win some lose some
Not entirely correct. You can use any liveries on PC regardless if itās marketplace or not. At least I have installed them from OC3 and work fine, have not tried external liveries but I assume it works the same as the liveries from OC3 are simply downloaded and placed in the community folder once selected.
Ah right I thought it was an issue. Iāve got a friend who is on PC who was on Xbox so he bought the 737 on Xbox marketplace. As such, he canāt use the OC3 as it doesnāt recognise that he owns the 737 as he bought it from marketplace and not direct. Inibuilds have a way of registering your purchase but apparently PMDG donāt
My observation has been that a good many third party aircraft purchased in the MP are not able to be updated directly by the developer.
This is not something unique to PMDG, just the opposite, I would say that is fairly unique to Inibuilds.
First of all, we do not want to ask for any money for liveries; we believe they should be made available to our customers on Xbox/Cloud for free, just as they are for our customers on PC. While there are promises, this is not possible on the Marketplace at this moment. We regret this and remind Microsoft often. While the number of sales are high, with the 30% for Microsoft and the significant amount of effort in creating the packs and handling them, selling the livery packs makes little sense to us.
We did have a handful of liveries in some early FS2020 builds, but this really only led to more problems. There are a ton of B777 operators, and if we add a few liveries, it is our experience that the vast majority of customers are convinced we selected the wrong airlines.
Until Microsoft allows us to share the liveries for free (or at least allows us to offer the FS2024 versions of FS202 owners a free update), there is no good solution to this. And until the Marketplace changes we are not planning any change.

The best solution would have been to create a brand new 777 livery pack with the numerous operators you havenāt covered like Air NZ, we could have purchased this new pack until you and Microsoft sorted out the proposed freebies or discounted upgrades. Alas nothing has happened and we are almost 5months after release with 1 livery
Just a bunch of words back and forth from different vendors, in 4 months. Thankyou ![]()
PMDG products are the best but their livery scorecard is 3/10, especially given the 737 duplicate liveries in packs. Iām certainly not looking forward to the 737 if we have a long time for liveries. Maybe after all these years (since 2020) will we get liveries on the day the aircraft is released, like everyone else manages to do, free or not
I share your frustration at the lack of liveries - but this is not PMDGs fault - they have been very open and shared the reasons that they work the way they do - and they are working very hard to make sure that we donāt have to pay twice for livery packs we already purchased for MSFS 2024. Inibuilds were allowed to provide free ( for two weeks) livery packs - they were called ācuratedā - for their new A340 product.
So youāre clearly singling out the wrong people here - you should be petitioning MS/Asobo to do the right thing.
This is the official forums but we all know itās an echo chamber for simmers. Asobo donāt talk to us I canāt exactly bring it up in dev stream, besides historically speaking (which is why we are here) everyone just finger points and doesnāt come up with a solution likeā¦NEW packs we will happily pay for
We decided that waiting for Microsoft to solve our legitimate issue and start producing the 777 livery packs in a standard way. This means that people who owned the 777 in FS2020 also own the FS2024 version but will have to rebuy the FS2020 livery packs. Highly uncomfortable. We have scheduled that work to start soon.
We will keep asking Microsoft to allow us free livery packs as Inibuilds is allowed to do.
