Flightbeam KSFO, 2024 version.
I did my first flight from KSFO on a 509nm flight; 206 passengers and 12,000 pounds of cargo. RR engines. MSFS 2020.
TO-2 takeoff and the thing leapt off the runway; I think I only used about a third of the runway.
Flight computer advises cruise at FL410; for this short a flight? I silently question, but I obeyed, and it reached it comfortably, and cruised at .835m.
What an amazing difference compared to the -300. And the cockpit sounds were much more immersive than the -300.
MId-week news update from PMDG overnight. First updates to the -200ER should be late today or tomorrow; 77F for ‘24 has gone into beta with 77W to follow in a week or so. Hopefully ‘24 compatible versions of those coming by end of month, with the 77L release for both sims to follow that.
I have a problem with the 777 er in 2020. When I activate spoilers with my Bravo Throrrle quadrant it interferes with the autothrottle and throttles. Bindings are good and the same bindings work fine on the 737.
I have searched for an answer far and wide. The best answer I can find says Set “autothrottle overide” to “never” in the options / simulation menu.
Sounds like the answer to my problem except I can not find the options / simulation menu. Looked everywhere. So was the suggestion wrong or am I blind.
Any help appreciated.
Agree! I started out with In Hold Mode Only set, but then found it better to switch to Never to prevent pilot error on my part: I found that I was accidentally touching the thrust lever when reaching for the speedbrake handle on my TM Boeing TCA during descents. This was entirely on me, but if there is something else going on, perhaps it will workout with a PMDG update?
Thanks Nixon Redgrave. The initial post omitted to say it was in the CDU menu so of course I scoured the MSFS menus. Don’t know if it fixed the problem yet but I will test it.
Does anyone have a working remote FMC for the 200ER in MSFS2024? I used FergoCDU but has not been updated to work with 772/MSFS2024.
Functionally I’d wish PMDG would just build in themselves like Fenix have..
SIMBOX works quite well. https://www.flyingart.dev/simbox
I have been using AviaCDU but since last fall, for some reason I can only connect via browser window on the same PC, and only via using a 127.0.0.1 or localhost URL. I can no longer connect via my phone or tablet on my LAN like I used to be able to. Something has changed in Win11 and I can’t figure out what it is.
Conveniently, last week I received my Winwing PFP 7 and have been using that instead.
i am using aviacdu as well (win11 / msfs’20) and it is working fine on all my devices. sounds like it might be something particular to your install and/or system? but also, +1 for aviacdu. it’s awesome
It probably is but I have zero clue what it is. I found one post from someone on the Avsim forums about the very same thing but no solution. I’ve been through every networking setting on my PC and my LAN and found nothing that helps. Heck, I can’t even access AviaCDU on my own PC if I use the PC’s own IP, only “localhost” or 127.0.0.1
Anyway, before my LAN decided to CDUblock me, Avia has been working great for a couple years.
AviaCDU works great. Big fan of the developer there. Always fast with compatibility updates and pricing is super fair. Big fan.
I’ve owned the B77W since day one and told myself I didn’t need any other 777 variants.
I caved in and bought the 777F and -200ER last week. I’ve had so much fun doing ANA regional routes in Japan with the 200 along with some Atlas freight hauls. These are just wonderful aircraft that can be used for so many different types of routes, it never gets boring.
The 8x auto cruise is such a nice feature too.
The freeware Pushback Toolbar works fine for me with the 777.
I know it is not everybody’s cup of tea but it is lightweight and I only use it with airliners.
(it is available in .to of course)
With me that toolbar pushback moves very irratical hard from left to right with the 777w …. The 737 is working ok though
Do you have the “lift simulation” enabled? It does not work well for me unless that option is disabled.
Nope its off with me .. super annoying especially in the 777
