Hello @UncleBSim,

Man! I’ve have got one big ‘old smile on my face!

I just flew this lovey girl from KPRB (my home field) to KSMF and and pulled up at the gate.

What a wait this has been, but so worth it!

Thank you to all involved!

Great glad to hear it can’t wait. Did you use ils approach?

I tuned ILS, but hand flew her in. It is massively more rewarding that way and what I’ve been working hard to master.

Now that I’ve got it on Xbox and can use my Boeing yoke and four throttles, plus my pedals, it’s massively more fun to fly than my Hotas on the PC.

Ok awesome sounds great I have the airbus TCA Captain kit x2 throttles hopefully it behaves with this bird

None of my buttons are working on mine , have no idea what’s going on

You might have an issue with the WASM add-on. I know some people have.

I’d uninstall the DC-6, fully quit the sim, uninstall and reinstall the WASM add on support, launch the sim, reinstall the DC-6 and see if that fixes it.

@NixonRedgrave

I note you suggest maybe uninstalling/ Reinstalling WASM ,I did not know that could be done .In case I need to I would be grateful if you could explain exactly how this is done ,thank you.

See the very post just before yours.

The WASM add-on support is located in:
My games & apps > See all > MSFS 2020 > Menu > Manage game and add-ons > MSFS 2020 > Microsoft Flight Simulator: Add-on Support > A (to untick Installed) > Save Changes

You can reinstall it the same way by ticking the Installed box via A.

Must have just missed that ,thanks will look now👍

For Xbox users, there is a special addon program which is updated regularly whenever new WASM planes are released. It should install/update automatically whenever you launch MSFS on Xbox, but if you were in suspend or quick launch mode, then it may not check for an update. Make sure you fully quit MSFS and re-launch it to force the update. If that still doesn’t work, try restarting your Xbox console.

You can also try the steps described in this thread:

Got home semi-late from an evening out and hopped in the DC-6 for a night flight from KPRB to KOAK.

I cannot express how stoked I am to have this aircraft on my Xbox. It is just an awesome experience flying it.

Great to hear your experience. Not interested in this particular one but I think this clearly means that the 737 is coming soon

This is great, can’t afford it at the moment, after only just purchasing the Milviz C310. Will be my next purchase though.

I just picked this bird up Xbox Series X.
What a beautiful plane to behold!
I still need to setup my Boeing yolk to take advantage of full throttle control.

I did however fly a bit using my Hotas One and controller. Everything was fine until I tried to move the rudder using mouse control. It moved once and would not move again. :winking_face_with_tongue:
Hopefully I can assign that to a knob on the Boeing.

A lot to learn with plane , I better dig into the manual.

Super happy we have such a high quality aircraft on Xbox and with WASM. Things are looking up for console enthusiasts.

I’m having issue with TCA throttle quadrant don’t work with dc6 anyone have a similar issue?

Airbus or Boeing TCA? I’ve got the two of the Boeings ganged together and no issues.

Airbus the throttles don’t hold rpm they drop back off

You’re not fighting the Automated Flight Engineer, are you? If he”s set to on this can occur. He moves them back where they need to be to safely operate the engines stress-free.

So, for example, you have all the switches on the AFE page of the tablet set to off and when you manipulate the throttles they don’t stay where you set them?
