PMDG DC-6 Perfect Until Near the End

I’m able to fly the PMDG DC-6 perfectly according to flight plan using the Gyropilot (set to Gyropilot). But when I get to about 10NM from the destination airport, the plane leaves the flight plan and makes a beeline directly to the airport. I tried using the Localizer setting, and I got the same result. Is it not possible to use the Gyropilot for the final leg of the flight?

Check the PMDG forums, I saw something mentioned there about this issue but can’t recall if there was a workaround.

Noticed the same here. Also mine is since 2 days been hunting the heading. Perhaps a problem with the gps system.
