Hopefully it won’t be too much longer for release!
This aeroplane (for me) is Chalk and Cheese when compared with anything remotely similar.
It has pulled apart the curtain, and shown me (and soon you) what this sim can deliver (at the moment). It is like nothing you have flown or touched yet, and I am having a ball flying her to the far reaches of the Earth.
MSFS will forever be- before PMDG and after PMDG… stay tuned, and hold on to your hats :).
On May 29th they said that they were deciding between 2 release dates and to stay tuned in the coming days when they fescues but haven’t heard anything since:(
perhaps it was a prank ![]()
Well, I’m afraid PMDG does what everyone else does with MSFS, creating a hype, procrastinate, and release. That’s how you catch more attention. Best example is this thread.
PMDG has NEVER committed to specific release dates far in advance. When the 777 for P3D v5 was released earlier this year, it was literally “coming soon. Maybe next week, maybe next” until it literally just showed up on Wednesday. So, it may just come out of nowhere one day.
They’ve announced it would come in June, just not when in June unfortunately
Right. They may not even announce when in June it will come. It may just… come out and that’s that.
they updated their website , there is now a flight simulator section in the shop , its empty at the moment but i think its a good sign
Haha your doing the same thing, checking their site regularly to see if it is coming. But this is a good sign indeed!!
its so bad , i wake up in the middle of the night for it for ■■■■ sake ![]()
Just to be clear, I do NOT work for PMDG and am NOT privy to their business plans.
I merely thought there would be persons here, who would appreciate some insight into the flight test of a new aircraft from them. Additionally, I hope there are persons here, who have not historically belonged to AvSim, FlightSim or other traditional FS sites, and who would be interested in information about this release from one of the very best FS aircraft developers.
I very much hope that is the case. The Six is a wonderful creation.
C
I think your hope is justified
There are certainly people around here that enjoy reading your posts and looking forward to the Six!
I see they also off-loaded all their FSX products.
I guess it’s gonna be very soon…
Then tell us your biggest criticisms of the addon. So far you have only showed us nice screenshots and told us how much you enjoyed roleplaying the DC-6.
I would like to know what frame rates are like compared to other aircraft, excluding those with glass cockpits.
Not sure if one is supposed to do so when testing an addon. It’s great that we already get to see some pictures of it. The proper / objective reviews will come after release.
Best time to criticise is before release, thereby minimising criticism from the public at large!
I understand there’s a huge level of interest from the Xbox community in this particular aircraft, from my conversations regarding E3.
Is this accessible to the thousands of users who are interested in using a controller to fly on PC?
It looks fantastic and the Xbox community will be the lead voice and platform as the sim continues to grow.
Enjoy all. ![]()
I have the same fluid experience in the Six as I do in the 172 Steam Gauge, FW149, the Mooney and @OffbeatCape7977 Robert Young’s incredible TN G36 and DA-62.
My sim is locked at 30 and other than a few settings which are at High, most are at Ultra. My 6700k is overclocked to 4.6 gHz.
As I mentioned earlier, I’m deeply grateful to @Steve Waite for educating me on the wisdom of a lower lock and less faffing.
