PMS50 GNS530 mod

How do you use your GNS 530 with the WT 530? Wouldn’t you only use one or the other?

You can’t. Choose one or the other by installing the corresponding package.

I was replying to your post directly above mine (in the PMS GNS530 thread) which made it seem like the two 530 mods (yours and WTs) were used together. I don’t use the WT530 so I didn’t bother following the link, but it still seemed that you were referring to having both mods installed together.

I now see that you were referring to using your GTN750 with the WT530 installed. I’m sorry I was confused.

Totally agree with the content of that page, WT should have taken into account the 750 not just ignore it, considering its popularity.

Good to know they are taking the feedback onboard, for the time being I am using the PMS530 and see which one develops best.

Edit: spelling

WT is currently working on a new hot GPS swapping feature that could help fixing some compatibility issues.

Hi there,
can anybody tell me how I get GNS530 to save 25KHz spacing permanent?
The config.xml seems not to be an option.
Thanks!

Do you mean saved as default rather than permanent?

Yes, I do. Default seems to be 8.33 kHz. I would like to switch to 25kHz (I know how to do that) and stay at this value after restart Sim/flight/GNS.
Any idea how to manage this?

Good question. I had assumed this was managed by state saving i.e. it would remember the state of the GPS the next time you fly, but I suspect ScorpionFilm422 will correct me on this shortly if it isn’t.

The channel spacing state should be saved from one session to the other for the same aircraft.

Mmh, it doesnt. Jfyi, I am talking about GNS530 in JustFlight C172SP mod. Is there any difference in behaviour?

Are you sure it’s the PMS50 GNS530 and not the WT GNS530? If you find the WT GNS530 in your Content Manager, I would advise you to just delete it. It causes far to many issues with 3rd party aircraft for me.

If you are talking about the WB-Sim Mod, it’s got its own iteration of the GNS530, based off the PMS version. If that’s the case, you’d be better off asking in their Discord: WB Sim

Done that already. After deleting WT530 everything works. Unfortunately I had install that and didnt remember to delete it.
Thanks for all feedback, especially the hibt to delete WT one!

Is this mod still needed after the AAU1 update?
I mean, if we use the WT GNS 530.

@ Giannino2

As you wish,

but I expect check web of this addon and probably uninstall WT GNS530. Scorpion can give you better advice. If I can give my opinion, in this case I prefer WT GNS530 now because is perfect with many good options.

With the WT GNS 430/530 installed, the default Longitude won’t follow an FMS flightplan - and it doesn’t have a GNS 430/530 on the panel - I uninstalled the WT GNS 430/530 and the Longitude is back to normal. I’m sticking with the PMS50 GNS530 for now.

Did AAU1 incorporate the WT530 into the base MSFS game?

It’s not incorporated as the WT G1000 and G3000 are, which are now default. You need to download the WT GNS 530 from the Marketplace.
The WT version seems to be more complete, I was wondering whether the PMS 530 was still needed for addon planes that are not referencing the WT version correctly.
