PMS50 GTN750 Project

I made nothing special about that.

Not for now. but probably in the future.

As I already said, the instrument can offer only what this simulator is able to give. So donā€™t attempt all the functionality of the original instrument in a first step. It will evolve according to the functionality of the simulator. The MSFS kernel is still far away from other sims like XP11.
This is not an integration of the Garmin trainer but a completely new GPS made from scratch. it should take months to reach all functionality of the real instrument.

here are the functionalities:

  • All the map pages (main, traffic(pro), terrain(pro), weather radar(pro))
  • Map waypoint selection
  • Direct To
  • Procedures with maps
  • Flight plan (including import and catalog for pro version)
  • Nearest pages
  • waypoint pages
  • Textual metar (pro)
  • com, nav, xpdr

You should retrieve all the features already implemented in my GNS530 mod but in the touch screen envelope of the GTN750.
The look is like the original one.

In a first step, it will be available as a replacement of the G1000 MFD for standard airplanes.

Since this is the internet, and MSFS Forums, I feel that we have to have expectations that are completely unrealistic. Therefore, you cannot use the excuse that you can only offer what the simulation allows. Please code an entire, working, fully functional GTN750 in your spare time, thanks.

Ok then it normally should work. Bezel and 3d knobs would be awesome. There are some free models at

Hi @ScorpionFilm422. First of all thanks for all the great mods you develop for the sim community.
My question is: can I use your mod for the realsimgear GTN750?
Secondly: is your mod an alternative to the (as far as I know still to be developed) reality xp software?

Realsimgear: I donā€™t know. I made nothing special here.
Reality: This is not the same product so donā€™t attempt the same functionality. As I understood, Reality integrates an existing Garmin software that probably took years to build.
Integrating the same into MSFS is not possible today beacuse MSFS runs in a sandoxed environment.
So my version has been made from scratch with my previous experience on the GNS530 MOD.

Iā€™m sorry to intervene in this topic but I believe youā€™re spreading false information in saying this.

The main issue preventing our customers from flying with a Reality XP GTN or GNS in FS2020 has nothing to do with sandboxing. You might want to fact-check what is the actual reality behind the scenes

I very much like the idea of a Payware Pro Version. You deserve to get some financial benefit out of all your hard work.

Just one thing ā€¦ Please DO NOT go work for Asobo !!! lol

I amuses me how so many think they need to suggest this to you, because you are a talented software developer ā€“ its got to be near the top of the things you most DO NOT want to do !! - turning your MSFS development from a "Fun ā€œHobbyā€ into a ā€œWork Taskā€ .

The last thing I would want, is for your creative talents and productivity, to be stifled in a restrictive corporate development environment. !!

Thanks for this information and this interesting link. Didnā€™t have such detail.
I hope Reality XP GTN will be available soon for MSFS2020.

My GTN version was made from scratch and does not claim to compete with a full-featured product like the Reality XP GTN.
The goal is just to offer a better user experience with the constraints of the current simulator state.
I hope that the partnership with WT will help break down the barriers.

I have finished implementing the OBS function in the GTN750 and the good news is that it works as expected.
You can change the radial with the GTN knob and the aircraft correctly follows it even in DirectTo mode.
The second functionality of the OBS is to suspend the flight plan even if you pass the target so the airplane stays on the radial until you disengage the OBS. This works fine too. I was a little bit afraid to see a new U-turn bug when you disengage OBS after passing the waypoint but not at all.
Iā€™ve discovered 2 display bugs in the Asobo code: the radial line was not correctly displayed in track up mode and there was a kind of double line in directTo mode. Both had been fixed in the GTN code.

Very happy to finally have a fully functional OBS in MSFS. Thanks to Asobo for this new feature despite these 2 small bugs.

Should OBS working as expected in the GNS530 MOD ?
What should, change the radial when using the GNS530 MOD ?

Is the GTN750 available for download and/or purchase? I canā€™t wait to get it.
Thanks

Totally suport this.

Perfection! :+1: :two_hearts: This is what I miss in this sim from X-Plane and XPReality. Once itĀ“s available to buy or support Your work I will do! Are You gonna make a pop-up (standalone) version which would not be bound to a planeĀ“s screen? IĀ“d like to put it on an external screen / iPad as I donĀ“t mostly fly full glass cockpit planes.

Thank you!

You should get Aviaworx on board to provide a client for the GTN. This way you could use it on a touchscreen or tablet, perfect for the GTN (from a GTN user since release for FSX, all time via Touchscreen).

Looking forward to this releasešŸ‘
