How does this still happen? How are proper LOD settings still not part of a mandatory checklist for all POIs, especially since we had that very same problem multiple times in the past, which always took months to fix (Devil’s Tower, Cliffs of Dover etc.)?

Just like with previous POIs before (Devil’s Tower, Cliffs of Dover) the Capitol Building in Washington D.C. is invisible until you get very close to it.

Just start a flight a few miles away from the Capitol Building. It will be invisible until you get very close.
