[Polls] Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) Sim Update 16 & 16.1 Feedback

Sure, these are examples at VQPR Paro

I’m sure that yesterday it wasn’t like that when I was flying above approximate location and at similar altitude. I saw no morphing at all here. I joined beta since 1.39.6.0 and left from 1.39.9.0 just before public release. It looks like conflict between old and new aerial ground tiles.

And rolling cache never been turned on.

@n772ua You are using slew mode, right? Is this morphing also that noticeable when you fly normally?

Hello @n772ua,

Do you see this same effect when flying normally or only when zipping through the world rapidly with slew mode? I just started a flight from VQPR in MSFS (2020) SU16 and did not personally see the effect as in your shared videos.

Thanks,

I said improve not change

Yes of course. And yes you won’t notice it when you are flying GA aircraft at low altitude. I can’t post the video due to its size and duration. Actually it doesn’t matter whether you are using slew mode or flying at low speed, either with TLOD 100 or 400, morphing tiles will always morph. And similar tile issues have been here since years ago.

This is slewing with no morphing tiles, heading south from VQPR:

Error 0X87E00196 when updating in Microsoft Store or XBox.

Downloading it now. Still no mention in the release notes about removing spurious trees from places they shouldn’t be - fields, airfields, etc. so I can only hope they did but haven’t mentioned it. After all it was fixed in 2024 weeks ago.

This comes close, no?

SU 16 is doing well after the download and the shutdown issue is no more. Well done Asobo.

Update was smooth, however having to update all the WU/CUs took longer than expected. Nice to see the shutdown bug finally fixed. Haven’t had a chance to fly it yet, but I’ll give it a go later in the day.

That was missing from the original notes, but I see they added it. Darn. I hope 2020 isn’t ruined.

Thats The Cabot Court. One of the few where the toilets aren’t upstairs. Good job considering it’s so tall.

This was a regression, or at least made much worse in some aircraft with the last beta release and now public. I had to revert to SU15 to fix it.

This is from the Citation X. Not sure if this is an Xbox only issue, but how are we supposed to read the labels?

This is happens on multiple 3rd party aircraft. I did post a bug report but obviously it was too late.

Inibuilds A20N hasn’t been updated so cockpit lights still broken and needing to use the toggle gladeshield lights keybind as a workaround

They added that. It wasn’t up there when they first posted the notes.

At the first View..SU16 is supersmooth ..awesome performance on Xbox Series X…incredible

True, Agreed. It’s crazy how much better performance can get when you make the whole world freaking blurry😀

I hate that every time there is an update, it redownloads all the discovery, tutorials, challenges and training I had deleted. I mean why?

I’ve been installed the 17GB of new world updates now for 15 minutes and I’m about 1/3 done. This has always been the Achilles heel of this game (nice super long load times). Plus, triple screens still don’t work like they should. I guess I can’t expect to much in that department anymore.

I still have MSFS2020 installed so decided to update to SU16. I must say it looks good and performance is great, I did a quick flight from LHR to CDG. I seldom use 2020 anymore though but I can see why some people want to stick with MSFS2020, since SU3 Beta MSFS2024 is where I`m at now.
