[Polls] Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Marketplace Feedback

Yep, I saw that comment from iniBuilds. Also wonder if they’re testing the upcoming “V2” build which is expected to be more optimized.

I think once SU5.1 drops and fixes or at least improves the performance issues on consoles since SU5, we may see an influx of new content on PS5 as more addons will be likely to pass Sony’s strict performance testing.

Yeah, I believe they are testing the A350 V2! I am hoping the same when SU5.1 drops. Thanks for chatting with me

Honest question: why do you feel so strongly about this specific subject and this specific developer?

I feel strongly about this with everything everywhere. Capitalism and the Freedom of Speech and Expression. Secondly, it was bringing money into the market, but if MS said they were manipulating ratings, they should go. That is cheating for sure. I just knew no one here could prove it and MS said they fixed it. They spoke ahead but it doesn’t matter - they did. That’s just what I was going off at the time.

That’s better than a system crash when it runs out of memory.

Will there be any livery or additional updates soon? I mean about the PS5.

Please MS/Asobo, can we have the Got Friends aircraft on the PS5. They have a wonderful line of craft that will suit the quality requirement and LOD just nicely.

The Taylorcraft is soon to release and it would be a real treat if that could come out on PS5 ASAP. :folded_hands: - and thanks.

Hi everyone,

I’m really losing patience with the state of the PS5 Marketplace. Since Sim Update 5, we were promised that the gates would open for third-party content, but here we are: still zero airport add-ons, just some basic planes.

It’s incredibly frustrating. PC and Xbox have a massive library, but for us, it feels like nothing has changed. We’re now even moving into the Sim Update 6 beta, and PS5 users still have no info on why our store is effectively broken.

I’m specifically waiting for SoFly’s Hannover (EDDV) and a proper traffic system like ATG. That’s all I need to be happy, but we’re being left completely in the dark.

Can we please get an honest statement from Microsoft/Asobo? If there’s a technical issue with Sony, just tell us. But stop acting like the PS5 version doesn’t exist.

Thanks.

To be clear, I don’t think anyone of any official capacity has said anything of the sort. It has all been conjecture and speculation from users and “influencers” that performance improvements to the sim (which typically come with SUs) = “opening the floodgates” for PS5 content. While I still think that’s definitely a factor, it was never (to my knowledge) “promised” by anyone with say in the matter.

I wish we could get a default aircraft from NextGen simulations, they did such a good job with their embrear 110, I really wish we could get a good default turboprop airliner from them like the Fairchild Metroliner (it’s actually very much like the embrear 110)

To clarify: This is not ‘community speculation.’ During the Developer Live Stream in April, Jörg Neumann explicitly stated that about 20 new add-ons were coming to the PS5 with SU 5, followed by a gradual increase.

Given that those 20 add-ons haven’t materialized and the marketplace remains largely empty, it is perfectly reasonable for the community to ask for an update. Instead of dismissing this as ‘fan conjecture,’ it would be much more helpful if the team provided transparency on why those announced plans have stalled.

I agree :100: that we need more content and aircraft are slow to arrive. I fear that they were holy unprepared as to the effect this sim would have on the graphics load and making it VR compatible.

Where I do differ, is that they are not giving this any attention. In fact just the opposite. PS5 is or has been getting most of the attention lately because Sony has very strict rules about anything crashing games or soiling their rep.

Frankly, the PS5 machine is not really up to the task without a rolling cache and to have the best gaming experience I sense we will need to wait for PS6.

 Hey, think about buying the xbox, the sim has tons of content for that   :joy:

Do agree to this. Right now, its understandable that things might take time to implement on PS5, the issue is that no comunication is given, regarding what we where told around the drop of SU5.

Let’s be clear: Hardware limitations are not the reason for an empty marketplace. The PS5 (especially the Pro) is perfectly capable of handling the sim, and we see plenty of content on other platforms despite similar architecture. The issue isn’t raw performance—it’s the missing communication and stalled rollout that were promised back in April:wink:

I’m interested in the content that was officially announced for the platform I’ve chosen, and I expect the team to provide an update on that promise. We, as PS5 players, deserve open and transparent communication about these plans:broken_heart:

Genuine question - there are fewer than (technically, “about”) 20 third party addons on the PS5 Marketplace?

Zadma, whether it’s 18 or 22 is irrelevant to the core issue. The point is the gradual increase that was officially announced in April has effectively stalled. If the roadmap for the PS5 marketplace has changed or is facing delays, a transparent update would be much more helpful than debating the current number of add-ons.

So are there fewer or greater than the amount “promised”? And “gradual” is a subjective word, isn’t it? One product a week is a gradual increase. My objection is to the idea that you’ve been “promised” anything, really. Frustrations with lack of communication, sure. Disappointment with lack of addons, I get it. But the entitlement is where you lose me.

Calling it ‘entitlement’ to expect a developer to follow through on their own public announcements is quite a stretch. When a lead developer outlines a specific roadmap in a livestream, it is not unreasonable for the community to expect that plan to be honored—or, if circumstances change, to be informed about it. We are not asking for favors; we are asking for a simple update on the rollout that was promised to us months ago. If plans have stalled, tell us why. That has nothing to do with being demanding; it’s about basic communication between a creator and their customers.

I count 13 aircraft which are not base aviator sim planes or joint venture freebies.

No airports other than those in the aviator ed

No activities other than Stranger things and those that come with the normal sim

Still, other aircraft will port to the sim at some point. The SDK keeps getting updated and if 3rd party dev’s want to go to the PS5, they will have to comply with what appears to be a set of rules to be invited.

I know Got Friends are desperate to be invited, so I don’t think it is all far off.

ACA, if you had joined in Nov 2024, you would come to realise that patience is key here. Nothing happens fast and many things we have been asking for for the last 1yr and 8 months have not yet arrived - it will - eventually!
