[Polls] Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Marketplace Feedback

It’s Sony you need to complain with. They are the ones that required and enforce barriers to add-ons on PS5.
Trust me, over on Xbox we have plenty of evidence that Microsoft’s quality control of add-ons is VERY laissez-faire

Except the entire system has changed with PS5 - nothing even gets submitted until MS hand picks them, and devs like Got Friends have yet to get an invite to the party, so there is some responsibility on MS’ side in terms of the selectivity of aircraft on the PS5 Marketplace, even if Sony has the final go/no-go.

It is about time MS/Asobo come out of hiding and give us a dev stream please.
Communication, communication, communication - please!

Where did you hear about this and where can I watch?

I am asking for it to happen. They haven’t planned it sadly. Normally if there is one it is on Twitch.

Whats wrong with the Marketplace on PS5? Its a disaster!

The game has been on the market for 9 months now.

And the marketplace? Absolutely nothing is happening there—virtually no new planes, no airports, no liveries.

After every update, all we hear is, “Be patient,” blah blah blah.

Nothing is happening, and it’s absolutely frustrating.
Honestly, I feel cheated—the marketplace is one of the core elements of the game.

So what’s the problem? What’s holding things up?

It’s also incredibly frustrating that so many interesting planes, like the A340, 777, and A350, are already in the game—you can see and encounter them in the game.

But also the lack of liveries, airports, etc.
I want to finally have some decent liveries on the planes; the “selection” in the base game is just a bad joke.

Spot on. It’s just an absolute cheek and a slap in the face for anyone who supported this junk at full price. The worst part is: you see all these big planes right there in the game, but the marketplace remains a total wasteland for airports and custom scenery, while we’re fobbed off with hollow ‘have patience’ platitudes. It gets worse month by month, and those responsible are completely ducking away. This is how you permanently alienate the entire PlayStation community.

I’ve already raised this issue here and tried to, how should I say, shout at the people, but all I can do is wait.

How can a plane that was only released a little over 24 hours ago have different ratings for all time and last 30 days? Shouldn’t they be the same?

Which plane was this? And dev
Was this on 2020 previously?

Can’t be because it was only released in the last 24 hours.

I meant the first 30 persons gave lower ratings than the last 100 or so people did. But is it is the last 24 hours something not right. It is reminding me of the fake ratings on the market place.

Yeah, I can’t tell because I don’t know which plane it is. I do wonder after the last debacle with MSCenery whether they changed anything with those rating systems.
I ignore them as they aren’t accurate anyway.
Often they represent the first few days of an aircraft visibility in the sim and don’t allow a dev to make updates to fix things before they rate it.

I’m not saying I think this is intentional from either side, rather it feels like a bug in how the scores are calculated

Better update procedures for Addons on the marketplace

As the title says we really need a better process for IMPORTANT updates to aircraft and such on the marketplace. The Synaptic A220 makes this perfectly clear. People in some cases have an unusable product because of performance and the devs sent an update to Asobo but have to wait an entire week for the update cycle. In my honest opinion such an important update should definitely get priority to be pushed with a day or two. Not an entire week it’s part of the reason many people still do not like the marketplace. Yes it’s “improved” but it’s still poor in my opinion.

The Synaptic A220 is actually a great example of how good the cycle can be if the creators work quickly to test and approve their builds - they released an update to the A220 the same day it launched.

Other developers have also demonstrated that products and updates can release within 24 hours of it being submitted to MS if the developer approves it for such a release after testing. The only known limitation here is for Xbox specifically which only ingests WASM packages once a week (as opposed to it happening daily for PC releases), which could slow down products and updates to product that affect WASM, but it shouldn’t be more than a week in that case. And again, that only affects Xbox, but PC can be released same day or ASAP.

Zadma - I appreciate the clarification regarding marketplace updates. Console users might want to submit a wish list item requesting more frequent updates for those platforms. MMGBeastKing lists Xbox in their profile.

Agreed - and it would just knock down another “barrier” some developers use as an excuse to not push updates more frequently. It could be a limitation from the platform side, though - it may not be anything the MSFS team can do anything about.
