Poor performance and FPS drop over flight duration

Hello fellow aviation enthusiasts!

Since the last Update the camera control window I had undocked from the main window on a second screen caused the Sim to crash with a “Your graphics device encountered a problem…” window each time I clicked on “Ready to fly”. I managed to get the camera control closed and now I am able to start a flight again, but undocking and the resizing the window crashes the Sim again.
Additionally, since the last Patch, I am getting mediocre FPS after loading up a flight, hovering around 20-26 FPS and during the flight the FPS are continuously dropping. On some flights I end up with 2-4 FPS on short final and can barely hand fly the aircraft to a safe touchdown, on some flights the FPS drop to 1 or below during Cruise and the physics engine and AP start acting up. In both scenarios the Sim starts missing keystrokes and Control Inputs. The Dev-Mode FPS-Counter is reporting a Main-Thread limitation. I have checked all Hardware usage figures and the processor (I7-8700K) doesn’t have a single core working harder than 40-55% and the the usage of the GPU (RTX3080Ti FE) drops, from 50% in Main Menu, to 9% in game. RAM and VRAM sit at ~10GB each.
I already tried to lower all Main-Thread Hogs and other Settings, deactivated all Add-Ons and used an empty Community Folder, with no success. I also moved the Sim to a new NVMe Drive, tried the “Repair” function in Programs and Features and rolled back the NVIDIA Driver.
Before the last update I got more than 40 FPS in the Cockpit of the Fenix, even with Third Party Scenery and FSLTL and the performance kept consistent, even on longer flights.
I’m running the MS-Store Version on Windows 10, with no Updates pending and tried Nvidia GRD versions 527.37 and 526.98, the latter worked before.
See attached Screenshots, both taken at the same exact moment in my latest try of completing a flight. As the Dev-Mode FPS-Counter shows I reduced the rendering resolution to 50% of the output resolution - with no impact. On the flight I took these on I had to end the simulation on short final because the FPS again dropped to 1 and hand flying at around 200 to 1000ms Delay got impossible.

I already tried searching all the go-to-Forums directly and via Google, but only got topics from before SU9, which all got resolved by lowering settings or by Hotpatches by Asobo.

Looking forward to any help!
Kind Regards,
Max

this bug exists at least since september last year but… well you know, either apparently not a priority or not known to asobo

Thank you very much for the help!
I’m gonna try the mouse mover solution as soon as I get time to fly again.
This thread somehow didn’t show up in my searches. I didn’t even know this bug existed, especially since it only surfaced after my sim crashed as I resized the cam control window and it somehow got worse since then.

i’m getting so angry now, almost all my flights resulted in an alt f4 moment cuz of this stupid fps degredation mid flight.

Manipulators and Mainthread just going absolutely bonkers.
again today after just 50minutes into my flight.
from 70 fps to 25 in cruise and 10-15fps at landing which my plane barely responded to me flaring cuz of it.

get your sim fixed before u move onto 2024 asobo ■■■… how many months do we have users experiencing this have to put up with???

did you try turning off traffic, ground vehicles, ships + boats, road vehicles, fauna etc?

yes i turned off everything, i even set TLOD to 10 from 200 and the other LOD slider also at minimum.
nothing helps once this degredation happens.

Saw on another thread that this can be caused by the rolling cache, if you haven’t turned it off, try that. Fixed it for me.

I turned off rolling cache since the release of this sim, every big update i check if it’s reenabled to turn it off.
My issue is something else i can’t figure out what.
I tried deleting all world updates, all community folder addons as well and it still happens with default planes as well.
