Poor performance below 100 AGL

I purchased a //42 freedomfox and fox2 aircraft from ORBX. It required the use of their installer. Installed the airplane then when I went to test fly it the graphics were super slow and jerky until I finally was able to take off and get the plane above 100agl when everything smoothed out and flew as it should. Of course when I decended and tried to land it became almost impossible to control below 100agl and I ended up crashing.

I tried to get help from ORBX and they tried but couldn’t help me with the problem and to their credit promissed to reinburse my cost for the airplane.

I have reinstalled the entire FS system twice and it has the same problem regardless of which aircraft I try to fly. Load times are high, except for the initial load of the program, and everything is jerky and slow reacting as if I had a slow system. I have around 300 hrs on this computer setup and this simulator and it runs fine on settings of very high and ultra.

Help!

lower settings then.

Looks like you want to vote for this issue and read through the solutions

Do you mean none of the default aircraft work well below 100ft, or just the two Orbx ones?
Is it just in the air, or while on the ground?

its a weird issue, i am on xbox and do not have it at all.
others report it too but not everyone has it.
there are other threads with some solutions for some.

No default aircraft work with it. All add ons have not been installed, comunity is empty. never had the problem before since the initial launch of the sim.

I have run a lot of add ons without this issue. I have had issues but fixed them easily. This one…

no, no votes please. if you don’t have a solution or think you have one don’t answer. thank you for your time.

can you point me in the direction of some of those solutions? would be much appreciated.

I hope this is some help.
If the issue is with the default aircraft, are your video card drivers up to date?
Also, check your settings, see if any have been unknowingly changed.
Ensure your rolling cache has been deleted.
Another “fix” is to have Terrain Pre Caching on Low
Photogrammetry can also contribute to this.

Okay, listen buddy - your issue is a known defect in the sim. What wcoesel wrote is exactly the place I pointed you to:

There are many solutions how to workaround that which are all written in this exact topic and voting this bug which has it’s root likely in world update photogrammetry cities makes it a higher priority so it will be more fast fixed. Actually this issue was likely introduced with SU7 or is really noticeable since then.

I on myself have used the tips over there on my end but I guess you are able to read so I won’t list everything from this topic over here.

Do yourself a favor and click that link, read through the topic and don’t get rude on people who try to point you to something helpful.

Thank You very much
