27 patch = software update
29 update = blog update (new article)
That’s the dev update, not the patch. White is an update from Asobo, green is an update to the sim.

To be charitable, it doesn’t help that they used the same terminology for both, and never deviated from that.
It’s also worth remembering that not everyone is on the forums to have read the distinction between the two “updates”.

It’s because Asobo refuses to use the word “Briefing” or something equally distinct from patch or update. A simple terminology change would resolve this silly question happening over and over again.
