The other side of the clamps press against the underside of the metal plate intended to hold the yoke / wheel. That pressure holds the shelf on. Like I said, I will screw it on from the underside once I get my final configuration. This holds surprisingly well, but I’d prefer secure it with screws as well as having the Honeycomb clamps for the long haul. This is just temporary.
