Post update issues? This fixed it for me

After the latest update [1.9.5.0], my Cessna started to behave badly.
eg:
The aircraft pulling to the right under acceleration during take off.
The ‘tiller’ behaving oddly.
The AP controls behaving spuriously.
The altitude hold oscillating around the set value.

Before the update, I had had none of the above issues!

Acting on impulse, I tried the exact same take off [same plane, same airport, same weather etc],
but this time, instead of using my previous [pre update] save, I tried from a ‘fresh’ start.
And sure enough, this time I had no problems at all and all the above issues were gone.

If you are experiencing similar problems give it a try.
I hope this helps.

Good tip! It’s funny coming from FSX I never used the save feature. It was hit or miss with addons, and mostly a miss. I have yet to save a game in MSFS2020, guess old habits die hard.

I’m surprised Asobo doesn’t recommend this and flushing your community folder with updates. Who knows what changes with the code and the save/load portions. An old save file might have completely different values that have been tweaked between versions.

Nope. I finally encountered the dreaded AP insane behavior during an IFR and I had just freshly updated to .5.

I hadn’t previously encountered it because all my AP use was GPS Point-to-Point. When attempting to get back on track after “losing” the active waypoint, the a/c performed some incredibly aggressive banks that nearly stalled out.

AP still shimmies and oscillates while on a straight and level leg.

What plane? I fly IFR/GPS all the time in the TBM and the AP, besides lacking some features, is perfectly fine.

SR-22 and Caravan. Bugged to heck.
