I like your panel. Very well done.

Thanks…i started with the idea to build only a light switc panel but during lockdown I had some time to spend and the projest had enlarged.
Now I’m waiting for Mobiflight enhancement for Aerosoft CRJ…a great piece of sw.

Why play CFS when you have war thunder?

(That’s a rhetorical question. War thunder is fun for about the first 4 tiers lol)

John McClane didn’t fly an airplane.

Ted Stryker is more apt

How did you get the Glass cockpit on the touch monitor? I’ve tried to find something on Youtube, but all I’ve been able to find moves only the display, not the knobs or buttons. I tried the AirManager Beta 4, but it doesn’t include the Garmin. I’ve got a touch monitor on my buy list.

The G1000 bezel is part of Air Manager. The actual ā€œscreenā€ of the G1000s is from the sim itself.

It’s a rather long thread, but you may want to check out the link below - particularly the OP which describes how to install Mobiflight (required for the Garmin and many other avionics). It has all the instructions on setting it up, what you need.

The bezels for the G1000 made are originally made for X-Plane by Russ Barlow, but modified by XAxSys to work with MSFS and the Mobiflight.

Nice display. What type and size?

65" display? Nice. I’m really starting to feel the need to swap out monitors for a large format TV display type thing.

Thanks, I’ll check it out.

LG 65ā€ Oled GSync, absolutely amazing picture with it.

Nice set up Crunch! Some day I may pick your brain. I have a quazi plan to create a cockpit in my brewpub where the piano is. Bought a Knobster but haven’t hooked it up yet. The revision I had was still beta… guess I should revisit that.

Do you have a Youtube channel? Primary on the east coast?

It’s a 75". Nothing fancy, just a Hisense mid-range 4K model a couple of years old but it does me well for FS2020 (and PC in general and PS5)

Yeah, anytime. Always glad to pass on anything I’ve learned if it can help someone else.

Seriously, the Knobster + AM is a bit of a transformative experience in how you connect with your plane. When you can do everything from startup to shutdown without having to use a mouse or keyboard, it’s so much more immersive.

EDIT: And also so versatile, as you can basically emulate any type of plane control too - steam, glass cockpit, airliners, helicopters…

This looks fantastic.

I have always thought the most cost-effective way to build a useful trainer would be to run a display like you have - sufficient in size for the cockpit and instrumentation to be near dimensionally correct.

Yours is surely pretty close.
