My current layout laid out for the FlightFX Vision Jet.
I love that the VisionJet has a side-stick. Considering I fly it and the A320 the most (despite being right-handed), my TM HOTAS One is great.
Although, I might upgrade to the actual Airbus side-stick kit at some point.

My hardest instrument to build yet. KMA28. 13 leds, 10 buttons, 1 encoder, and 1 6 position switch.
Lights on / lights off
This is for the JF PA28 with the GTN750/650 avionics. Could not find (at a reasonable cost) an exact match for the touch screen for the GTN750. So…. I used a larger one and put the DME display under it. Pop out manager handles the sizing and position of all three displays. Hope to have this one done by mid January.
The touch screens on both work great with POM running
Curious how you did lights.
Mobi Flight led output. Use the ‘Marker sound, DME sound, etc variables. I also have the Transmit select switch configured.
Thanks for that. I will be using it.
BTW. That faceplate looks store bought. Where did you get it?
For the GTN? I 3D print everything.
The KMA is 3D printed and then a printout is glued to it.
I found it on Thingiverse.
I’ve mentioned before I’m a great builder just not a great designer. ![]()
Not done yet, but close to it!
Now I’m waiting for a proper multi-screen implementation!
(The cockpit also serves as a training tool while I study for my PPL)
Does the horizon line look level across all three views from your seating position? From this shot it seems that the front monitor is quite a lot higher than the sides (which given the layout of the 172 cockpit is not surprising) but then presumably it would like quite odd for the horizon line to be at different positions looking left and right?
Absolutely. Though I fear you’ll be waiting for a long time, we’ve not heard anything (that I know of) from Asobo about improving the current experimental support.
To me,
his difference has no negative effect because they are 90 deg rotated with view. In this case if you look at left to want to see what is happen there, your mind isn’t affected with front view so no harm to your mind
Other problem will be use 3 monitors with 130 deg and located one near to other one, in this case this difference can be bad.
Unfortunately the horizons are not level across all screens. The side monitors are lower than the front and I can’t correct it with the current implementation of the experimental multi-screen settings.
Yeah, I see what you mean. My old setup had a curved wraparound projection screen so a discontinuity would be completely obvious.
It is possible to sort-of lower the horizon by tilting the camera up - though this does introduce some angular distortion, of course. On my current setup I have a single 47" TV as the display and it is mounted quite high up because of my hardware console, so the screen mid-line is well above my eye-line. I fix that with this camera-tilt trick and by tilting the screen forwards towards me to cancel out the distortion. It works, after a fashion, but if we had user-definable asymmetric view frustums this would not be an issue.
(Just occurred to me that this would not help you anyway, since all the views would tilt at the same time. Oh well.)
This software may be helpful in this situation:
If I could recommend,
I see your right view not correctly set with distance, compared you have real cockpit. Simply you sit inside real place and your right window is also in sim right window (view from pilot seat), simply is with more distance visible. I expect it as your left window zoomed. I understand maybe you can’t more zoom right window independently, or you can?
Well, latest update on my cockpit, after Christmas addition: RL cockpit seat and Honycomb Bravo Throttle mod for B737. (B747 Mod version and Honecomb Commercial lever set still in the mail).
I’ts easy to add a 3rd lever for a 3 engine tubeliner, so I can easily transition to a MD-11 ![]()
Future possible updates:
- New tablet
- Tiller
- HDR/UHD monitors
- New Flightsim PC (in 2-3 years)
Yep, even after 9 years it will still be a WIP. But boy, I am loving this.
Nope. The current implementation is very limited and only works for 3 screens that touch bezels where you sit directly in the middle of them. I really really wish for Asobo to work on this but there is only a fraction of people who have these sorts of set-ups like mine.
