Here’s a little Friday night game for those who enjoy observing live AI aircraft. Post your finds of aircraft that you think are special for any reason. It could be an aircraft at its maiden flight, belonging to someone you know, landing safely after an emergency, maybe an aircraft you’re actually flying in real life.

Whatever works as long as there’s a reason making it special.

I’ll start. This is a brand new 787-8 Dreamliner (N873BB) on its delivery flight from KPAE to KDFW, where it’ll soon begin service for American Airlines. It just took off as I’m writing.

So, what are your finds?

PS: This is not a thread to complain about the quality of live AI in Microsoft Flight Simulator. We all know there’s a looooot of improvement to do, and there are plenty of threads dedicated to that. So please keep that there.

Here’s another special one. I’m escorting one-eyed pilot Shinji Maeda (the pilot from this video) on the first leg of his Earthrounder. He just took off from Everett Paine Field on his Beech Bonanza N9787Y “Lucy.”

He’s going to fly all the way around the world on this small general aviation aircraft after becoming a pilot and then an instructor against all odds. There are no words to express how inspiring this is.
