I am flying over the Democratic Republic of the Congo at the moment and I spotted what I believe to be an airstrip in a village called Lako Ikuku.
I can’t find any information on it but if anyone knows anything about it, please share.
I might try and learn how to use the SDK to create it and share it sometime.

Looks like a strip to me! Even here in the US, there are quite a few unofficial airfields that are privately owned and not registered as such to be included on charts.
Yes it does look like it! I’ll have a go at making it, as it’ll be a good way to learn the basics of the SDK too.
There are a significant number of closed and abandoned airports in the US. Some are in good enough shape for landings and takeoffs while others have disappeared into the mists of history as residential, commercial, and freeways have buried them.
Maybe some of these can be recreated like Meigs Field.
This site has a very comprehensive list of abandoned airports. Abandoned & Little-Known Airfields
The author/creator provides GPS coordinates making it possible to view the sites using your favorite map app. The coordinates can be added to a MSFS flight plan.
I have spent many, many hours wandering through the lists of airports and reading their histories. Time now for me to learn how to create airports using the SDK.
