Powerlines in MSFS 2024

I have been using “Powerlines and Solar Farms” in 2020 and it’s also working great in FS 2024. It’s much better then the new build in Powerlines in FS 2024.

Is there any way to disable the build in powerlines by editing a config file etc. to avoid double placed powerline towers? This would improve the VFR experience.

I’d be glad to see lines between the poles.

“Powerlines and Solar Farms” has lines. That’s the reason for this post.

Yes, I know but what I mean is that the default powerlines in msfs 2024, where I fly, don’t have lines.

Sorry, English is not my mother tongue so I tend to write short sentences instead of long textes.

It’s a real shame - they advertised to include the powerlines addon, and now we have to discover that it’s only half baked. Now it’s worse than before - we don’t even have the possibility to use this addon due to duplicate scenery. Grrr.

Most things are half baked. It’s quantity over quality throughout. Look we’ve added this and this and this we are told but it’s all not done properly. The aircraft, the animal placement, these powerlines, boat tags mixed in with aircraft. How about just slow down and do a really nice thorough implementation of each thing as time permits. The aircraft particularly disappoint because it stops third party devs doing a much better one instead. If there’s a way to disable the in sim ones that would be much better. I’ve also been using the excellent powerlines, ski lifts, and marinas mods alongside we love vfr for some time. All freeware and much better than what we are served by default.

Hey guys. The more varied power line towers were ready before release but due some performance concerns were postponed to do some more testing.
Mamu’s Powerlines & Solar farms will still be a valid and great add-on for MSFS2024, but first the issue of not working powerline exclusion has to be fixed. I hope it will be sooner than later so Mamu can release his addon for MSFS2024, but guys at Asobo might have more urgent things on their plate currently.

I was really hoping for Mamu to be pulled into the list of partnerships for 2024 (I’m missing Powerlines and Solar Farms and Marinas in 2024), good to see Puffin’s response at least  … I had mentioned this https://www.reddit.com/r/MicrosoftFlightSim/comments/1hggk5z/anyone_know_how_to_put_mamudesign_and … as well as a feature request in the forums here that was closed because of 3rd party request.

Still no fix about power line exclusion polygon ? hmmmm !

I dont know how to disabled it. The double placed powerline towers looks not good

Simple answer: there is no way to do so currently.

The update version of Powerlines and Solarfarms has a fix for compatibility for msfs 2024 that removes the double pylons

I buy it by simMarket 0.9.8 and install but there still double electricity pylons :frowning:

Wouldn’t you mind giving me some indications about where they are, coordinates ?
So I can check and fix?

Maybe on the Discord where I can offset support!

Unfortunately that’s not the case. This is what I see west of the Jindabyne Aerodrome in Australia on my first flight with the newly purchased MSF2024 compatible version (uploaded on April 13) from SimMarket:

(not a support request, just feedback!)

Thanks!

The reference to double pylons is “those from 2024 and mine”
This is a different issue that should be (partially if not totally) fixed in an upcoming update

(Basically it is due to different, non contiguos way from the OSM data, now I store every positioned pylon position one by one, and when is the turn to place the next I check against its presence in the database, in case I draw only the wires and not the pylon itself)

After checking the area in OSM, It Is an error from the original mapper, splitting a common 3 cables setup into a single cable one, which is incorrect because technically those seems like to be part on the same circuit, and and they are all on the same pylon
I will fix this for you
And because I have the tripod wooden pylon that I made for USA I can use that on 66kv 3cables line in Australia too
