Everyday is a great day for a practice approach. I took some pics flying the VOR RWY 36 KFCM - this takes me south of the Minneapolis area, over the town of Shakopee and near Prior Lake and back NE. I then did a pretty tight circle to land (to a low approach) RWY 10R, then outbound for another radar approach.
Departing RWY 10R, then we’ll turn southwest to join the FCM215R outbound

Looking at the US169 and HWY 13 interchange… (our DOT apparently recently changed this mess to a diverging diamond)

The Longitude certainly has some good looks

Even though MN is relatively flat in the terrain department, I’ve always enjoyed the rolling hills and farmland.

Now inbound on the final approach course (FCM215R inbound) and looking at Shakopee, MN (if you’re into horse racing you’ll find Canterbury Park in this area - racetrack just off my nose)

A little high for circling mins but commencing the circle to land RWY 10R. I’m configured for landing here as the turn is pretty tight and I’m just a tad about vref and watching the AoA. My plan is a low approach RWY 10R.

Ended up overshooting the north parallel a little (which is a big no no when I’m working!) but we’re on our way for a radar vector to the ILS 10R KFCM. Thanks for looking!
