Predictive head-turn/pan based on rate of turn

In addition to the head shake (which is great), it would be nice to have a predictive head-turn (pan) based on the rate of turn (with some smoothing). This would help tremendously with both taxiing and base to final turns.

I would love to have the option to have my view smoothly follow the turn/bank, especially during taxi, just like I do in my car when I need to turn. Some aircraft implement this for their taxi lighting, so really about the same thing but for where the pilot looks, and this effect can be aborted by a mouse move if you need to look back at your instruments. If this were done very well, so that the motion was smooth and natural I think it would add to realism. Perhaps a slider could be implemented to allow the user to increase the amount of view turn or something along thos lines.

This would be a great feature! You can get it in X-Plane through the use of an add-on called XPRealistic, which labels the feature “Head Anticipation.” There’s a version of the add-on for MSFS (FSRealistic), but it doesn’t have that capability, because the sim doesn’t give add-ons that level of control over the camera.

It would be a really nice addition.

Yes,

leave we this feature better to 3-rd party devs. i think that sim need have more important things to improve.

The camera system in MSFS isn’t open to that kind of tinkering, so 3rd party devs can’t address it.

It would be worth adding, as not everyone is going to use head tracking (and it’s not even an option for console players).

You mean now or 2024?

You can’t do it in 2020; who knows about 2024. It would be great if Asobo opened up the SDK to allow for more interaction with the camera system in the next sim.

Yes,

this is what is in my post already  nothing else. 4 posts we wasting time…

Folks that want “realistic” head panning around the cockpit might consider getting a head tracker.

I use a TrackIR v5 and am very happy with my ability to look left and right before and during turns.

Sry,

but now I don’t understand how TrackIR has something to do wit Predictive movement feature expected in sim. To my situation, I don’t have and don’t see any reason to use that HW and SW features but simply said my opinion due expected changes with sim functionality.
