This may sound a little confusing, but I’m asking if we are able to have PG on in some areas, and off in others. In other words, I just want specific cities in PG with the rest of the world using the default Autogen. I’m curious to see if that would improve performance while using PG. For some reason, I have far more stuttering and hiccups with PG turned on. It looks pretty good…though the draw distance isn’t great. I realized that I don’t need it on all the time, in some cities, I don’t particularly care about it at all, in others, it makes a huge difference.
Thanks for the input.
Hmmm, I think for the most part that is what happens. On another note, photogrammetry seems smoother since update
Have ypu tried to use manual cache for the PG area you want and turn of PG in the DATA menu after that?
Not sure if that works, but worth a try and the only sim-native solution I can think of.
Manual cache, under Options, General, Data, manual cache.
Many claim they see no improvement in FPS etc, but if your internet is slow, this should help.
Hm, alright. Not worried about internet speed. But for some reason PG on really hurts performance.
Unfortunately not. It’s all or nothing.
You can cache an area using manual cache, but PG data won’t show up if you have PG disabled, even if you have it cached locally. It justs shows you autogen.
