I recently purchased the Pro Flight Radio Panel for use in MSFS 2020. (See link: Pro Flight Radio Panel for Flight Simulator). I was hoping it’d be as simple as plug-and-play, given that it just has a USB cable. However, not only does MSFS 2020 not recognize the panel, the panel display also does not light up. Does anyone else have experience using this product with MSFS 2020?
The SpadNext tip paid off. Using the trial version, I was able to use my radio panel to change values in game. However, the panel displays themselves still remain off. It would be helpful for them to be on to make changing frequencies an easier process.
When I search for ‘LorbyAxisAndOhs_MDFS’ on Google, I don’t get any results. Could you link it?
Try enabling virtual power on the right side of the panel picture in spad.next window.
MSFS changed the way avionics bus works. So powering up the aircraft does not power up the displays by default. Now each aircraft has different circuit assignment. As a permanent solution, you’ll need to find the corresponding circuit from the systems.cfg in aircraft directory. And change the event so power on option is tied to that circuits condition.
Thanks for that I had to turn off the Virtual Power since it wasn’t binding to the Avionics Master. Now I gotta figure out which circuit is used for the CJ4 to rebind it.
There are two avionics buses in CJ4. Circuit 23 and Circuit 24 (essentials). Conditioning power to 23 should work fine.
If you don’t know how to do that in Spad.Next; Click on the power icon on the panel image. Click on Add Event, and choose Device Power Events. Click Add Condition, then click select data. Search for CIRCUIT CONNECTION ON:23 select and click OK. Set Value to 1 and confirm. Add Action, choose Advanced/Device:Power ON and confirm. Add another event, and do these one more time with Value 0, and Power OFF action.
Actually there is plugin released by logitech and it enables usage of all panels. I can confirm multi panel and radio panels are working. I Do not have others.
Regarding saitek Yoke sensitivity in SPAD.next - I simply disabled yoke in spad when I test it for panel support and all was OK. In any case I’ll stay with Logitech plugin as it is free.
@ElFijiGrande Saitek/logitech panels have issue with latest builds of win 10 and USB power saving management - there is easy fix for “blank displays” to switch off power management for each of them. small utility to show/change status of poermanagement of saitech panels : http://download.codelegend.com/other/codelegend_APME_fix_for_Saitek.zip
I have an issue with the radio panel not syncing with the Airbus if I change frequencies on the panel it doesn’t display my change in the a320 I want to use it for vatsim but still have to manually change it in the Airbus. Anyone have a did fix
