Problem with airport radio frequencies after putting the sim to sleep

Lately, I think since the last update, I have been having a radio frequency problem. If I land and park a an airport then put the sim in pause mode with the ESC key then minimize the sim and put my computer to sleep. The next time I wake up the computer and maximize the sim the airplane is right where I left it but ATC has a different airport and radio frequency. It’s usually an airport with water runways. If I go to the radio controls to change the frequency I can do that but I can’t get it to change in the ATC window. If I am at an airport with a tower the only way I can get out of there without getting called out for taking off without permission is to turn off the radio and just go. I have not tried this with a bunch of different aircraft. I have been flying the FlyingIron P-38 for the last month of so. So maybe it’s the airplane. But I think it’s the sim. Anyone else having a problem like this?

This is the first I have seen of this issue posted here on the forums.
I would suspect it to be an addon conflict, maybe caused by the P-38 itself.
You could try removing all other addons, and just having the P-38 installed to prove the issue.

I’ve seen similar behaviour even without putting my computer to sleep. I request landing clearance, taxi, park up. Then decide to fly out of there, but for some reason ATC is latched on to a completely different airport, with no way to to the menu that shows a list of airports as that only appears when you are in the air.

I suspect if you were to break ATC down into one of those logical flow charts there would be many dead ends you can get in to with no way back to the top.

Sounds like you have found the same problem. This just started for me in the past week or so. Just before I started having this problem there was a MSFS update and also a P-38 update. I am going right now to take a flight. My computer was asleep last night after flying to Friday Harbor. I woke it up this morning to work on my taxes. Now I will see if The problem repeats.

The issue I described has been there since last year, and probably the year before.

It’s rare so I suspect it is linked to particular airports.

You may also have experienced those cases where after landing, you cannot switch from tower to ground. Another dead end in the process at certain airports.

I think you are right. The first airport I experienced this issue was KOTH. Then I flew up around Vancouver and had the problem at a couple of airports around there including CYYJ. Now I am down around Friday Harbor and have not had that problem with any airport in that area yet. It didn’t happen at Friday Harbor or KORS.

I have seen this too. I was at FVRG, I wanted to request taxi for takeoff, but sim ATC insisted I was actually at FVHR (other side of the city), an uncontrolled airport, and would not even let me select a runway for takeoff. But that also meant it gave me an IFR clearance with a void time to take off without
talking to a tower and had no issue with me actually taking off from FVRG and contacting departure after takeoff.

Weird stuff.

Hello,
When asking for help, advice, or whether anyone else is having the same problem as you, the place to do that is in Community Support. I moved your topic there.

I have been flying around Vancouver and heading up to Alaska. I have discovered that at almost all of the airports I stopped at I had this problem. Right now I stopped at Stewart CZST and on the radio it says I am at CBA3 and my choices for a runway for takeoff are 11 Water and 29 Water. This is happening all over this area and it does not involve putting the computer to sleep. The ATC does not sync with where you are.
