Since installing Update 5 I have a problem with a constantly translating cockpit view after pressing 'Fly Now. In addition, I’m unable to pan the cockpit view using the mouse. External view is working fine though. Any suggestions on how to fix very gratefully received. Thanks.
I have the same problem
Same here. A slow pan down and to the right in my case.
Closing the game. Plugging and unplugging my XBOX controller worked for me.
Thanks for the reply. Slow pan up and to left for me but either way… unplayable.
Thanks for your reply. Are you using the XBOX game controller with the PC? I’m using the PC version but I do have a generic game controller plugged into to one of the USB ports. I’ll try unplugging that later and restarting the game. Thanks.
Gents, Asobo have added a cockpit view up/down and left/right axis to the xbox controller. If you have a small enough null zone then the drift happens.
Delete those two axes and the drift stops, or at least it does for me.
Ha yes sorry I didn’t specify, I use the XBOX controller with PC.
Ah… yes… now this sounds a distinct possibility. I’ve never needed to set a dead zone for the controller in the past because I’ve only used it for external/smart cam viewing. I’ll try this solution later and report back either way. Thanks.
No problem. Many thanks. Hopefully the new controller dead zone created for XBOX is the cause. I’ll try this out later.
I can confirm that adding dead zones to each of the XBOX hand controller axes fixed this problem. All that’s require is 2% in each case. The other thing I noticed was that with the XBOX controller plugged in I was unable to use the mouse to interact with the cockpit. The fix for this was to switch legacy cockpit interaction in the Options menu. I suspect these two issues arose for me because during the latest update I had the XBOX style controller plugged in the one of my PC USB ports. I hope this helps others experiencing a similar issue. Thanks.
